Highlighted Painting of the Day:
"Beauty in the Tempest"
11x14 Stretched Canvas painted with acrylic paint and sealed for protection.

This painting has been in the back of my mind for a while. I wanted to paint over a "pour" and show "strength against all odds". When I poured this painting and saw the effect of the white (it looks like lightening to me) I thought it would make the perfect background. The bird stands strong and proud against the tempest (great life lesson for us all...hang in there no matter what!).

"Green and White Hibiscus"
11x14 stretched canvas painted with acrylic paint and sealed with a clear coat of resin.

This is another in my series of hibiscus flowers. Created using the "bloom" technique. I loved creating this one, the colors are beautiful in it. I've never seen a green hibiscus but if they ever develop one this pretty I will certainly buy it!
