🌟 Georgia Rotary Club Presidents 🌟
It is our great pleasure to introduce Todd Freesemann, a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of West Chatham - Pooler. For the 2024-2025 year, Todd has the distinct honor and privilege of serving as the District Governor for District 6920.
Todd's Rotary journey began in 2007, and from the first meeting, he knew he had found his home. The people were fascinating, fun, energetic, dedicated, and quickly became immediate friends. It took him a while to grasp the sheer size and scope of Rotary’s 1.4 million-person network, but once he did, he realized he had joined something far bigger than himself. Todd firmly believes Rotary is the finest humanitarian service organization in the world, both locally and internationally. Rotarians are, to borrow a phrase, a true group of “people of action.”
This year, Todd's goals are straightforward yet impactful. His number one goal is to increase membership to amplify the impact of this incredible organization. This involves delivering what current members want and need, retaining the amazing people already in the organization, attracting new members, and starting innovative new clubs to meet the needs of those who haven’t yet joined this remarkable organization. Additionally, given his years in uniform and having witnessed various forms of discord and anger, Todd hopes to promote civil discourse and peace.
He also plans to continue Past District Governor Felix’s literacy program and tree planting initiative. Moreover, he encourages everyone to take a moment to thank a military service member or first responder along the way.
Todd resides in Savannah, Georgia, with his wonderful wife, Penny. Penny plans to join him on many of the club visits throughout the district. They have one adult daughter, Katherine, a Georgia Tech graduate living her dream as a mechanical engineer with Disney in Orlando, Florida. Penny serves as the Chief Judge of Chatham County’s Superior Court. Todd, a 30-year military retiree, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served in both the Army and the Air Force, retiring as a Colonel. He currently serves as Commander (Deputy Sheriff) with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff John Wilcher.

Hey everyone! I'm Todd Freesemann from the Rotary Club of West Chatham - Pooler, and I'm thrilled to be your 6920 District Governor for 2024-2025!
For those I haven't met yet, I live in Savannah, Georgia, with my amazing wife Penny, the Chief Judge of Chatham County’s Superior Court, and our daughter Katherine, a Georgia Tech grad and mechanical engineer at Disney. After 30 years in the military, I'm now a Deputy Sheriff with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office.
Rotary has been my passion since 2007. The people are fantastic, and the impact is immense. This year, my top goal is to grow our membership to amplify our impact. I also aim to promote civil discourse, peace, and continue literacy and tree planting initiatives.
I can’t wait to visit your clubs and support your incredible work. Let’s grow this great organization together and create lasting change in our communities and beyond. Reach out to me anytime!

It has been my distinct honor to serve as your Governor of District 6920 over the past year. I have had the privilege of collaborating with many dedicated Rotarians and witnessing the tremendous impact of our collective service projects. I am particularly grateful for your unwavering efforts in promoting literacy, and I am incredibly proud of the significant progress we have achieved together in this vital area.
As I transition from this role, my commitment to the values and goals of Rotary remains steadfast. I look forward to continuing my involvement in various capacities within our esteemed organization. I am confident that incoming Governor Todd Freesemann will infuse our district with fresh energy and vision, guiding us to even greater achievements.
Your warm welcome into your homes and clubs has deeply touched me, and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you for the privilege of serving as your Governor.
