I (susanne) couldn’t be happier to finally announce that though all the blood sweat and beers my boys have endured over the years, I’m bringing in Tony and Richie as business partners and owners in our new location, soooooo well deserved and I’m just thrilled about it ! this crew are all kicking ass in renovation as well and we simply couldn’t do ANY of this without every single one of them. happy valentines and stuff but the REALLY exciting news is that we broke ground on the new home of the jinx today by literally ripping the roof of this m**o to give our venue room the height and glory it deserves, can’t wait to see you there later this year ! we are HOPING to open mid July, one day after our last day open at 127 four long years ago like we didn’t miss a thing. updates will be coming more often now and be on the lookout for our t-shirt drop coming soon. love ya jinxies !

YOU GUYS ! WE DID A THING ! Mostly thanks to you and your undying support we successfully got APPROVED from the MPC today to reopen the jinx ! We cannot thank you enough for the outpouring of letters and especially those of you who showed up in person today, they both made a HUGE difference. Ok so our next hurdle is to appear in front of city council the first week of June and we absolutely need as many human bodies to join us in support there as possible, we will announce the date and time just as soon as we get the word on confirmation. AGAIN, thanks so much for your support, we very much cannot do this without you and we cannot wait to move on to the next phase to rebuild the home away from home for all of us. ✨

Thank you to our many supporters and friends who contacted us today with the heads up about this strange event, and apologies to our followers who had to spend any life minutes on this. ✨✨✨this has been happening to metaphysical stores and their online profiles all over the country and I just hope it’s the only time it happens to us. CALLING ALL JINX FANS-WE NEED YOUR HELP ! In the process of trying to reopen The Jinx in the new Starland location at 2602 whitaker street we’ve hit a bit of a road block. Due to various reasons, the city staff is recommending to the deciding commission that we be denied the permit we need to move ahead. This isn’t a time to be angry or discouraged, but it IS a time to use our voices and strength in numbers to merit The Jinx with the approval it deserves. If you haven’t yet done so, we implore you to take 5 minutes and send us a letter in support of us reopening in starland so we can get even closer to being back in everyone’s home away from home sooner rather than later. It is actually possible we won’t be able to do this without you, your letters truly could make all of the difference in the deciding vote. We know we can count on you like you did us for our 16.66 years in business and we thank you in advance for your time and attention to this.

Keith Kozel. A man of MANY talents. A man of MANY admirable traits. A man you couldn’t help but love and just become transfixed with as you saw him onstage……every single time. Like it was the first time you ever saw a rock show, every single time he was on stage. IT WAS THAT GOOD ! He had so many projects we saw on our stage over the years but by far the Halloween shows with GAM were absolutely legendary. He would always take us through passages of time and wonder in the course of even one set, as if you’d just seen 10 bands in that span, seeing GAM was a cultural journey well traveled. Hands down the most enigmatic front man we’ve ever seen. His energy, talent and sheer love of music was palpable and contagious. His imagination and showmanship were just incomparable. Keith was a huge part of The Jinx and will always live on within us. Keith you will be very sorely missed, in so many ways. It was a true honor to be in your presence, and we owe you all of the gratitude in the world for letting us be a part of yours. Essentially, to know him was to know this-Keith Kozel IS music, in every sense. We love you so much Keith, thank you for letting us know the amazing person you are. ❤️💔❤️

it’s still so hard to fathom but today is the two year anniversary of our very last day open to the public, this photo is of the very last sunrise that The Jinx at 127 west congress ever experienced. it’s a very bittersweet day for us because we have VERY exciting breaking news for all of us ! after YEARS of searching for our new home, we just recently signed the lease for OUR new home base and we could not be more excited !!! we just want to take a moment to thank all that have supported us for almost two decades and we are going to get hard to work on designing our new music church, we cannot wait to host you all there and make even more legendary memories together as a community. 🦇 we will of course keep you updated as our progress starts rolling out. THIS IS HAPPENING ! ✨✨✨
