Big News:
We are proud to announce an advancement in Dr. Jackson Smith’s dedication to cutting edge dental
specialties. On May 28, 2024 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Dr. Jackson was awarded his certificate of Master in Laser Dentistry, the culmination of three years of study & case studies. Pictured here with Dr. Jackson is one of the four Fotona Laser & Health Academy Faculty members, Giovanni Olivi, MD, DDS, owner of Advanced Center for Esthetics & Laser Dentistry, Rome, Italy.
Dr. Jackson is owner of
The Smile and Face Company, a holistic, minimally invasive facial
rejuvenation & smile renovation practice, as well as working with his father in this practice.

Dr. Doug & Dr. Jackson will be back in the office on June 10. While they are away, our office is “somewhat open” as our team handles all sorts of important tasks while the doctors attend a conference on laser dentistry & esthetics in Ljubljana (where our Fotona laser was manufactured).

I am often asked, “Are you retired?” Have never really thought about the value in not working & days like yesterday show me why we love life & our work family. In 2011, we saw a need for a CPAP alternative & Smith Dental Specialties was formed. The specialties expanded from snoring & sleep to include TMD, airway orthodontics & tongue ties. Whole Health Optimization followed in 2019 for nutrition, functional fitness, counseling and health optimization equipment. In 2022, Dr. Jackson’s NYU training in facial esthetics (to remove scars & asymmetries) led to the creation of The Smile and Face Company (& my face looking younger😉)
Helping others learn to take control of their troubles with snoring, sleep, nutrition, recovery or health optimization takes the “work” out of working! Motivating others to change is often difficult. Yet,
as the psychologist on the team, Blake made the best 68th BD gift……. to remind others of my job…..“aggressively helpful”

The team here at Smith Dental Specialties is blessed & thrilled to announce the arrival of Mason James Vo! Mason is the son of Tan, our office manager, & Jenny, his wife & our prn nurse. Jenny & Mason are doing well & Tan is probably quite relieved that Mason is finally here! Please be patient with us (when you visit our office). We CAN NOT fill Tan’s shoes, but rest assured that Tan is still working from home for the next four weeks as he bonds with Mason. Welcome Mason! You are one lucky boy to have such amazing people as parents!

We all enjoyed celebrating a January birthday! Shout out to Bri! She is such a sweet, positive team member!

-He is has over 100 hours of specialty training in Facial Esthetics from the Leading PRF & facial esthetics doctors in the world…and he continues to learn new techniques from the best and with the best equipment!

The guys were all at a deer camp. No one wanted to room with Bob, because he snored so badly. They decided it wasn't fair to make one of them stay with him the whole time, so they voted to take turns.

The first guy slept with Bob and comes to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes all bloodshot.

They said, "Man, what happened to you? He said, "Bob snored so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all night."

The next night it was a different guy's turn. In the morning, same thing, hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot.

They said, "Man, what happened to you? You look awful! He said, 'Man, that Bob shakes the roof with his snoring. I watched him all night."

The third night was Fred's turn. Fred was a tanned, older cowboy, a man's man. The next morning he came to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. "Good morning!" he said. They couldn't believe it. They said, "Man, what happened?"

He said, "Well, we got ready for bed. I went and tucked Bob into bed, patted him on the butt, and kissed him good night.. Bob sat up and watched me all night."

Happy 10th Birthday to Mercutio, Dr. Smith’s pup! As Dr.Smith says, “He is the best gift I never wanted.” Mercutio’s best bud is Romeo…hence his name.
