Our Story
At Hope Academy we believe everyone benefits when people find their Hope and Pursue their Purpose. We do that by helping our neighbors, who have come here from around the world, learn English. We help them integrate with their new culture and pursue their purpose beyond language learning by sharing their gifts with our community. Our focus is using education to welcome adults and their families.
In 2015 we folded the adult literacy programs of the Whitefield Foundation into Hope Academy. We quickly grew from GED to Adult Literacy to English for Speakers of Other Languages. The programs blossomed as people found their Hope and Pursued their Purpose.
In 2018 the GED/Adult Literacy program will go home to the Whitefield Foundation again as we focus on our cultural integration outreaches for resettled refugees and international students/workers. We continue to partner with the Whitefield Foundation and network with area non-profits and churches to serve our community.
