Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake creates and offers after-school empowerment programs designed for 3rd- to 8th-grade girls. Our nonprofit helps participants build confidence, increase their level of physical activity, and learn essential life skills such as managing emotions, resolving conflicts, and forming friendships. Through the innovative integration of fun physical activities, engaging lessons, and the support of trained, caring coaches, team members discover their limitless potential. Our research-based curriculum explores core topics relevant to 8- to 13-year-old girls, including expressing empathy, standing up for ourselves and others, and being agents of change in their communities. ⁠
