RC 10-11 Allstars are district 12 and section 2 champions. They are going to states in district 22 Bronx NY.

After a 5 hour rain delay, Fonda-Fultonville Little League and Canajoharie Area Little League played a close NY District 12 Little League AAA 12U Championship Game at Gloversville Little League, that went into extra innings.

After 7 complete innings Fonda-Fultonville squeaked out a 4-3 win over Canajoharie. Each team's players did a tremendous job pitching, batting, fielding, and catching.

There were two players recognized for their great sportsmanship, Matt Kane from Canajoharie, and Joe Ciaccio from Fonda-Fultonville.

Also would like to recognize The Valley Team (Duanesburg Little League and Middleburgh Little League combined team) who placed third in the tournament overall.

Thank you to our host league, Gloversville Little League who made the week very special for all the players. Big shout out to the Gloversville field crew volunteers, who were able to make the fields playable again after two rain delays this week and ensured the fields were looking great before every game.

Thank you to all the coaches, league presidents, volunteers, umpires, district officials, and parents who made this week possible.

The NY D12 International Little League Tournament is set to begin 6/25.

12s bounced back in their second pool play game against Penfield and picked up a big 5 to 3 win. They improved to 1 and 1 with 8 runs allowed.

The game was knotted at 0 to start the 4th when Gian Edwards and Ben Krahnke led off the inning with back to back singles. Francisco Cupp singled to load the bases with one out, Cody Nacua-Saum doubled to score 2 runs and Jude Miller hit a towering 3 run homerun that hasn't landed yet to put the boys in front 5 to 0.

From there the pitching and defense survived a rally in the 5th and 6th from the Penfield squad to secure the 5 to 3 win. With Penfield threatening in the bottom of the 6th, Johnny Franck fielded a single to center field and delivered a perfect strike to Gavin Murphy who applied the tag to secure the third out at home plate to end the game.

Jude Miller got the start on the mound and shut out the Penfield squad for 2.1 innings, striking out 6. Knox Redman followed and threw 23 of 26 pitches for strike, striking out 3 over 2.2 innings. Francisco Cupp closed it out in the 6th.

The boys have a day off today and return tomorrow for their final pool play game against East Greenbush Castleton at 1pm.

Yesterday, players from all around NYS District 12 Little League gathered to play in the Best of the Best showcase. The games encompass All Star players from over 15 different leagues. Its a lot of fun to watch. If you missed yesterday's games, you are not too late as there is one more game today at 12pm at Duanesburg Little League.
