Come celebrate the end of the 7190 Rotary year. Tonight 6/19.
Let's embrace the arrival of summer! 🏖️ With the heat arriving this week, we are excited to announce the opening of the new Central Park Pool WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19th.
With the highly anticipated new pool opening, I thank the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady for their support with providing lifeguards for all our pools. Without them, residents would not be able to cool off in the summer months.
Gates open at 12:30pm.
From hosts to counselors, volunteers are at the heart of Rotary's Youth Exchange program 🌍✈️
“If you haven’t been involved in a Youth Exchange and seen the interaction of the kids, you don’t realize how important this program is,” says participant turned Rotary member Olof Frisk. “Students from all over the world become leaders and are friendly with each other. This is the original thought behind peace building.”

We gaan haar missen!

We welcome our newest Twin Bridges Rotary Club member, Andrea Downing.
Andrea transferred from the Rotary Club of Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., and she an attorney for the federal government.
Andrea and her husband (Michael) and two girls (Jennie-11 and Fina-7) recently moved back to the Capital Region.
Andrea joined Rotary because she really valued her youth exchange experience (Spain, 00-01) and wanted to give back to the organization that gave her such a life-defining experience.
We are very excited to have Andrea as our newest member and look forward to all of us working together on future projects.
Pictured below is President Larry inducting Andrea to be our newest Twin Bridges Rotary Club member.

Last week during our lunch meeting we caught up with Karen and Warren Jones from The First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa. They spoke about the upcoming Summer Lunch Program now in its 14th year. The Rotary Club of Ballston Spa is one of many organizations, businesses and private citizens that assist in making this program a success. Last year they served over 160 school aged children Monday -Friday for the months of July and August.
With help from a Rotary District 7190 grant we presented them with $1500 towards this worthy fight against summer food insecurity.
Looking to volunteer sign up links will be posted in the church website June 1st.
Maybe you know youths in the school district in need of lunches during the weeks of summer - reach out to the church for applications.
