Today was bittersweet. We will miss the day to day but we are also happy to have the time to relax. Thank you for the memories, your word of mouth business and friendships that have been made over the last 50 years. We will cherish them forever. Mike & Barb 😘❤️

Slick’s Tavern owners retiring again as new blood takes over Owners of Slick's Tavern in Schenectady are retiring again as beloved bar in the Stockade changes hands for first time in 50 years

Schenectady mainstay Slick's Tavern changing hands The couple will officially retire on Wednesday and are leasing the business to Andrew and Maureen Ottati. Located on the corner of Liberty and South Ferry streets, the restaurant will be closed for about a month during the transition.

To all of our valued customers we will only be open Tuesday & Wednesday of this week 7/2-7/3/24.

Just wanted to update everyone that we will be closed for the remainder of this week 6/10-6/14. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to an unexpected emergency we will be closed for a few days. We will keep you posted.

We will be closed 3/18-3/22/24 for vacation. We will re open Monday, 3/25/24 at 11:00 AM.

At The Table: Schenectady mainstay Slick's is still a gem Slick’s, a downtown institution on the corner of State and Ferry streets, is a gem. Someone call historic preservation: This place needs to stay exactly as it is for future generations to enjoy, because it is perfect and there is nothing, anywhere, like it.
