Water Main Break/Brown Water Alert
Egypt Ave.

The Department of Public Works is doing maintenance to the water service line on Egypt Ave. During the water shut down a water valve malfunctioned. This is causing a loss of water pressure, or in some cases no water, in the neighborhood of Egypt Beach Road to Standish Ave. Repairs are currently underway; however there may be some discoloration in the water as the service is restored. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions and check for discoloration. Allow the water to flush before using and check before doing laundry. We apologize for the inconvenience and plan on having the water pressure restored by 5:00 pm.

Front Street Traffic Alert

The Department of Public Works has been working with our contractors to mark Front Street. Tonight, at 1:00 AM there will be multiple marking crews along with Police and DPW working on Front Street to complete this project. If you are traveling on Front Street expect delays and detours. There will be no parking on Front Street after 12:00 AM. This is weather dependent, but it looks clear for tonight. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our infrastructure.

11/08/2023

Front St. Paving Postponed

Crews were on site last night to attempt to mark Front Street, however the pavement and air temperature did not work in our favor. The layout was completed, but the markings were not installed. The DPW will be working with our contractor and watching the weather to get this work done. Schedule notification will be released about the work as soon as possible. Looking at the long term forecast and the contractor's schedule, the work will probably be pushed off until next week.

Thanks you for your time and patience.
