Myth: Therapists have prescribed solutions for all of life's problems.
Fact: A good therapist gears treatment around the client's specific needs. There is no one-size-fits-all. Therapists do not only listen to the contents of the story but also the themes and patterns that lay underneath. Addressing these themes and patterns is what ultimately facilitates change.

Time for a little history! Did you know that in the Middle Ages, religious authorities thought individuals with mental health illnesses were possessed? In the fifth century B.C., Hippocrates worked to destigmatize mental illness. Finally, in 1909, Clifford Beers founded the Mental Health America (M.H.A.) organization to help with research and promote a better understanding of mental health conditions.
Happy Mother's Day!
May = Mental Health Awareness Month!
It is important to acknowledge the impacts of stress, burnout, and trauma on our physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Not only should we take the time to recognize the importance of mental health and wellness, but also shine a light on those who have or continue to work through mental health struggles.

This not only includes physical healthcare, but mental healthcare services too. This year's theme is "Be the Source for Better Health" in providing quality, equitable, and respectful care that is inclusive of all.
This is a mission we at Resolve stand behind!
