This right here is why we preach to stay away from the in & out oil change shops. They may be convenient but they certainly are not cheaper so give up the convenience & receive a free 21 point inspection with our service. Here we have a tahoe with a broken spring that is now sitting 2" from the gas tank just waiting to make destruction of the tank(which is no longer available except used). Yes you might have to make an appointment instead of driving right in, but just think of the inconvenience this is going to cause when it lets go.

Just received another skid of Interstate blem batteries. 67.95+ tax with exchange/core. No core add 20.00 What is a blem battery? It's a new battery with defect color or markings, it can also be a battery that was removed new from shelf after 6 months. 90 day warranty on all blems.

I preach our theory around here. Hear we have a 1997 ford pick up with a bit over 340, # # # miles that looks, runs, operates like new. Paint is shinny, interior is flawless, no oil leaks etc. Many expect me to say it's a 7.3 liter diesel but it's not, it has the 351w gas engine & still running great. Some like to make payments & some like to maintain what they have- that choice is yours. What I will state is a modern 2024 super duty is not built as well as these older super duty's were. Just to save any doubters time YES this truck still has an all original drivetrain in it. Vehicle payment or maintain? maintaining is always cheaper. Do you know why? With a new truck payment you will still have to maintain as you go. The payments don't stop because it needs repairs- that's where the neglect comes in. For whatever reason many think because I bought new it won't need repairs. WRONG-WRONG-WRONG....

It's a must... Flush the cooling system every 2-3 years. The coolant will become corrosive & cause heater core & radiator issues. We have seen many so bad that Electrolysis start to take place(you don't want that to happen). Modern vehicles is a complete dash removal to get to the core & very expensive. It's cheaper to maintain then replace.

If you can tell us what part you need replaced then & only then can we give a free quote/estimate over the phone. Many times those 5-10 minute diagnostics are waived if repaired here.

Friends, I get it EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE & we all like FREE. I want everyone to know the days of diagnostic over the phone is long over. I/we(the shop) received a 1 star review from Caleb Sevier today because he said I was short/rude. YES I did get a bit short with him after I explained twice the vehicle would need to be brought in for diagnostic. For some reason he thought any shop could diagnose his issue over the phone & he just don't get it. In short there is more technology on todays modern vehicle then the first space shuttle that went into orbit. I think I know how things get a bit misconstrued because the parts stores love to plug their code reader in & retrieve codes & start selling parts. That's great but remember a code & a flow chart that actually diagnoses the issue are many levels apart. A code is nothing more than a circuit of failure, the flow charts put us technicians on the path as to where at in that circuit the failure is. So don't be alarmed when a code scan & a parts store gimmick to sell parts cost you more than FREE. This Caleb guy is not really mad at me, I really think he is mad because the parts stores have sold him a bunch of parts he didn't need, he then calls here for the fix. How do we diagnose over the phone when we have never seen the vehicle- hence the magic 8 ball diagnostics... Folks, I am not trying to be hard, anyone that has used us knows darn well we go the x-tra mile to make sure things are right before we release your vehicle. I know Mr. Sevier has never given us the opportunity & probably never will but that don't change the fact he has left a google review that is unfair to say the least. I take bad reviews to heart, But if not being able to satisfy his issue over the phone is not my problem- We are believe it or not just human & still can't make good repair advise over the phone. Maybe that's why "shell answer man" closed down their phone lines. Rant over... what a Monday it's been.

We will go the x-tra mile around here to solve your rattle. Someone lost a socket in the front fender. Took longer to locate the rattle then to remove the fender. We now have an extra 10m.m. socket.

A/C season is upon us. We service both r-134a & the newer r1234yf(2011 & newer). Dye testing is also available for the vehicles with leaks. Don't waste your $$$ if the a/c is not cooling properly buying the can of freon at the parts store & adding it. PLEASE-PLEASE If you are going to not show for your appointment make the call, It's not fair to hold a bay for a 1/2 hour for a "no show" this cost valuable time. 1 no show without a call it will be 1 week minimal to work you back in, 2 no shows & you will not be scheduled again.... You will have to drop your vehicle & leave it until we can work it in. A doctors office does not put up with such nor should we"the car doctor". Sorry but to me/us it's common courtesy.

What cracks me up is all parts stores have a cheap hand held scanner they plug in & tell you what the code/fix is. So all know there is no magic box that will tell you what the fix is, it's a parts selling game played well by the parts stores. After all they are in the parts selling business-think about it....

Hello everyone, We have received several calls regarding rough riding vehicles. here is your answer-no you do not need new shocks or struts. What is happening is the oil in your shock/strut is becoming very thick due to below freezing temps, this causes the piston of the shock/strut to operate slower against the thick fluid. Just hold off for the weather to warm up & you will notice the ride of your vehicle returning to normal.

The cold & Cars just don't get along. Here is what you need to know to get thru this current cold spell. 1) full synthetic motor oil this oil flows much easier then conventional oil thus allowing the engine to crank over faster. 2) fresh spark plugs- you need good spark plugs to light off the fuel mixture fast. 3) good strong battery- battery cold cranking ratings go down with temp. Example 1000 cold cranking amp battery is diminished to 75% rating @ 32 degrees & worse yet diminished to 40% @ 0 degrees. So @ 0 degrees your battery can only deliver 400 cranking amps). To spend the fewest $$$ as possible it would be wise to invest in a battery maintainer or trickle charger to get thru this cold. That would keep the battery up & aid in cranking the car over in this cold. Hope this helps & saves everyone the trouble of requiring a tow truck expense.

Real nice, shop Insurance increased $1,300 for the year. It's not like we can go shopping because it seems Insurance companies do not like shops & most will not even return a call-let alone make a quote. It is what it is.... post covid pricing. Now I understand why a lot of shops are dropping insurance, I seen 1 on a.s.o.g. that went up 4k in a year-same as us having no-(0) claims... no claims- absolutely no reason for an increase of that amount other then they too have to stay profitable. WELCOME TO THE NEW AMERICA FOLKS. Rant over, b blessed & have a great day everyone.

Never-ever buy a used vehicle with a warning light on. Case in point, we have a 2013 chevrolet traverse getting ready for the sales lot & it had an air bag warning light on. $580.00(part only) later it's fixed. The passenger seat sensor had an open circuit. well it's just a light-NO it's more then a light, this sensor weight you as you sit in the seat & will deploy the air bag at different speeds depending upon the weight of the passenger. Yes an air bag deploys slower for a child as it does for an adult. To add with this sensor in default mode the passenger air bag would have never operated because it thought there was no one sitting in the seat.

The average car payment now is $717 a month. Not including insurance and of course still the maintenance it will need. Obviously repairs will be covered under warranty for 3yrs 36k miles but they still have maintenance needed in that time.
$717 a month is $8604 in a year. Not including those others additions in cost. Maintaining your current vehicle is almost always going to be less expensive than buying a new vehicle. The likelihood of you having to spend over $8k in a year on a vehicle is slim but doing that for 6-8yrs in a row will never happen.

Update on the proposed roundabout. I have received an email stating the state will require frontage & there will be no imminent domain used to aquire our building. The roundabout will be built 2025 thru 2026 unless something changes. I Love answered prayers.. I still say a traffic light @ a cost of 800k beats a roundabout price of 3.2 million but that only makes logical since & that is not logical in the eyes of the state. Just want to reach out & take a moment to touch base with our followers/clientele. YES it's TRUE a roundabout is coming to the intersection of 31&356. We have received letters stating such so no more rumor mill antics. With that said it is our knowledge the state will use eminent domain as they need our property for said 3.2 million$$) project. My preference is to stay & opt for a traffic light but that don't fit the new Indiana roundabout forum.. Our plans are to locate or build another shop in the area, I will not promise used vehicle sales if we get relocated, we will keep the repair end going as usual. From my research the state will do their very best to work on a relocation plan over buy out or eminent domain options. As you all can tell we have dwindled the used vehicle sales to a minimum just in case that portion of the business can't stay attached. What we do know is this project will take place late 2024 into 2025 so there is time to get relocated, we are awaiting the state to be in contact for further instructions. etc.. I will update as time goes on, again rest assured we will do everything in our powers to get relocated as close to this area as possible(hopefully with-in 1 x mile). be blessed my friends & have a great day.
