A true testament to teamwork! Our incredible surgical team jumped into action for a brave 9-week-old rescue pup who needed an emergency nephrectomy. With Dr. Gans and Dr. Sekiya at the helm, our staff expertly managed her anesthesia and care. Thanks to their dedication, this little warrior now has a brighter future ahead! Meet Abbie, the Basset/ Lab mix. Those droopy eyes 👀 will certainly steal your heart, but her right eye actually was causing some discomfort to her. Abbie’s owner noticed excessive irritation and tearing, so brought her in for evaluation. Dr. Engelschall quickly diagnosed her with Entropion: a condition where the eyelid droops inward. Those little lashes can cause irritation to the cornea, and cause excessive tearing, or even corneal abrasions.

A simple corrective surgery was suggested and this is her series of healing post op. ❤️‍🩹 As you can see at the end, here eyes are clear and bright, and she can now just focus on being the sweetest low rider you ever saw. Thanks for all the updates Abbie 🐾
