The true test of your nutrition: Body composition ➕ Energy to perform Body composition should be your first goal. Lugging around extra weight makes every task in life more difficult. Most don’t understand that the quality of your food has ZERO to do with your body composition. Composition is 100% due to energy balance and macronutrient breakdown. Many don’t have the resources to eat all organic high quality food - that’s ok, you can still lose fat. Once your understand the concept of energy balance - calories in vs calories out - you can begin to improve your quality of food over time. Stop going through the motions, it’s a waste of time It can take years to figure out how to properly move weight around Often your lagging muscle groups are the ones you have the hardest time connecting with/activating This typically stems from going through the motions and trying to move heavier weight that you can control SLOW DOWN If the muscle you are looking to train is not burning, it’s probably not gaining any benefit from the movement
Salad could be ruining your fat loss… The average restaurant salad has 1,000 calories. “But Jacob aren’t salads healthy!?!?” They can be. But remember most restaurants don’t care about your fat loss, they care about making something so tasty you want to come back. Therefore, they will do anything to make their food 💣 Some examples: Californian Chopped Salad - 1,200 cals (Cheesecake Factory) City Hall Salad - 1,130 cals (Mastros) Oriental Chicken Salad- 1,430 (Applebees) Where do these calories come from? Well it isn’t the lettuce… it isn’t the veggies… it’s the FAT that they add to it via sauce & dressing. We have more tools and info than ever before but by 2030 obesity numbers in the US will be at about 50%…We need to do better, we need simple solutions, we need more compliance to effective ways of living and pursuing fitness goals.
