Modern Titanium anodized colors are bright and vibrant, but the old school companies like Case have had the color game going a long time....

What's it worth? That is always a challenge, especially when 1st we play, what is it? Some pens are easy like these that I am currently looking at for consignment, others are much much harder.

A number of you who have asked what is a Pelikan Hub?

Pelikan organizes a yearly worldwide gathering of pen enthusiasts every fall, registration is in early summer. Pelikan takes care of all logistics, and pairs registrants together with volunteer Hub Masters. Thousands of Pelikan registrants meet all over the world on the same date (set by Pelikan) at 6:30PM local time.
Pelikan gives each Hub Master the autonomy to do what they wish. This was our first time as Hub Master, as new owners of Penchetta, and we were a little nervous to host 40 registrants in our small store. It's currently much too hot to be outdoors in Phoenix. However, it went off without a hitch!
Pelikan sent a gift for all participants, one of our customers helped us come up with Pelikan trivia, thanks Jim! Mom made home made cookies and we borrowed folding chairs from various family members. We had a handful of no shows, a few emailed they couldn't make it- but those that did come, seemed to have a great time. A generous pen enthusiast donated several ink samples for all to take home, another brought blotting paper samples. We started the night with fun trivia questions-and Lance gave away prizes. Some of these questions led to deeper discussions. We gathered everyone together with the Pelikan Flag as a backdrop and took a group photo. Later everyone broke down in smaller groups to compare notes on their favorite fountain pens. Anthony, the founder of Penchetta, stopped by- and ended up behind the counter, just like old times. We're thankful for his continued support- and help throughout this transition. While we appreciated those of you who did a little shopping, the purpose for us was to gather a like minded community at our new location. We want to get the word out of our existence, as some people had no idea there was a pen shop in NE Phoenix. We were happy to host this event- enjoying our shared hobby with so many pen enthusiasts.
