Our Story
Rusty Nail Meats is keeping the traditional old style butcher shop alive. In April 2019 Shane Brooks & Hanna Pont packed up their lives in LA to move to Scottsdale, Arizona to start a sister company to Hobe Meats. Supplying their meat from the mid-west, buying directly from The Greater Omaha Packing Company, that has been around since 1920. We only sell USDA Prime grade meats, with a minimum of 30 days aging. All Pork and Chicken is all Natural. There are no Sodium Nitrates added nor solutions. Our owners met Hanna’s freshman of college at the University of Oregon where she was studying PR and Shane was studying business. Shane has been a hunter his whole life and has butchered all his own game since he was child, butchering is something Shane has always had a passion for. While Hanna always dreamed of following her fathers foot step in owning her own business. It was the perfect way to bring two dreams into one. Shane grew up in the small town of Pleasant Hill, OR and Hanna grew up in LA, their diverse backgrounds give them the perfect opportunity to bring that "home town butcher" feel to Scottsdale, AZ. Thanks to Hanna's Uncle, Bret Pont, owner of "Hobe Meats" they were guided to the best meats possible, but most importantly taught how to bring that home town butcher feel to such a diverse city. Rusty Nail Meats excited to be in your neighborhood, come on in and say Hi and MEAT your owners.
