Emily & Austin are celebrating one year married!! I loved being a part of this intimate wedding celebration and these two were such a joy to work with, along with some of my absolute favorite vendor friends.

It’s only taken me a year and some days to share this “white trash parking lot wedding” in all its glory… (I promise those are their words, not mine 😅)

So as they celebrate their first year married, enjoy this recap that needs to be shared.

Food trucks, a beer b***o, a mechanical bull, a vintage beverage truck and fresh flowers set the scene in the middle of the Arizona desert.

They flew in days earlier so they could enjoy a week-long celebration…and do spin classes before the big day.

They rented an enormous AirBnB to get ready together and spend more time laughing with friends, less time driving.

Dirty jokes and fireball buckets helped ease the nerves. Their parents felt like best friends and best friends felt like family.

Their officiant is also a best friend of the family. He spoke about how Shelby and Jon each come from parents who model the true meaning of marriage.

Jon got a bloody nose during the ceremony. Shelby held the tissue for him.
One of the groomsmen literally gave him the shirt off his back so he wouldn’t have a blood stain in their sunset portraits.

“I’ll always be the ranch to your chicken wing.” A shared sentiment in their personal vows to each other.

Her mom dried flowers for over a year just for the petal toss on their walk back down the aisle as husband and wife. And it was worth it.

All the toasts were made up of hilarious inside jokes and the love surrounding them was undeniable.

These two aren’t flashy, and they stayed true to themselves - they just wanted to have a good time partying hard with their loved ones. And that’s exactly what they did!

Happy anniversary Shelby & Jon - I hope you never stop adventuring and never stop being the life of the party!!

Emily & Mike - happy one year anniversary to you!!

Things I remember from your wedding day…

You ran your own St. Patty’s Day 5k on the morning of your wedding.

An intimate ceremony with family from all over - including an uncle from the northeast that knew of my small hometown in Massachusetts. Your wedding guests were all so kind and welcoming, just like the two of you.

Your sweet vows to each other. That Mike loves how fun you are with the kids and you fit right into their family from the start. That today marks the day you became one family unit, so happy birthday to your new family too!

How in love you two are and how you aren’t afraid to show it even with my camera around. That’s the kind of love that’s easy to photograph all day long, genuine and carefree.

St. Patrick’s Day will now always make me think of you two and I can still picture the celebration and dancing - especially when I hear “Sweet Caroline” and of course, Dropkick Murphys!

Thank you for inviting me into your lives as you said “I do” and I wish you the happiest anniversary today and always!

When I think back to Stephanie & Ralph’s wedding day, I just can’t help but smile. They are an ambitious couple, both finishing up med school in California in the midst of wedding planning in Arizona. But what I admired the most about them was the true love that they showed for each other. And not in a showy kind of way, but in little moments like wiping the happy tears from each other’s eyes or fixing a tie or holding a hand as they walked down stairs. Their eyes truly lit up when they looked at each other, and Ralph’s audible “OMG!” during their First Look will forever ring in my mind.

Other favorite moments include:
Stephanie peeking over my shoulder as I photographed her bridal details.
The buzzing energy in the bridal suite from the moment we walked in.
Every friend and family member being warm and welcoming, offering us help and snacks all day (so important as a wedding photographer IYKYK).
All the friends, from childhood through med school and residency, and their close bonds.
Their choreographed dances that they spent months learning - the chemistry between them is unforgettable.
Ralph’s dad never missing a moment with his phone camera.
Watching two families come together so incredibly joyously.
The sweetest vows, reflecting on how they met, how they stayed up talking all night long, and how they will always be each other’s biggest fan.

Stephanie & Ralph - happy one year anniversary! Thank you for allowing me to be by your side on the best day and for being so warm and welcoming and genuinely beautiful people! Sending so many hugs to you as you celebrate!

The day is here!! Megan & Bryan are getting married!!

Just putting it into the universe that we’re all ready for the to start blooming!! (And just looking for another excuse to post more of these photos from one of my fav couples from last year!!)

Photographer friends, I have a question for you. Do you ever feel like your work isn’t good enough, and then you look at a session months later and think to yourself, “Wait. This session is actually amazing and I love it and why did it take me so long to realize it and share it?!”

Because that is me way too often lately.

I LOVE this sweet family, and I LOVE these images we captured for them before their baby girl arrived. These photos deserve to be shared and seen!!

Get ready to see lots of past work because it takes me a while (too long) to look back and realize there is actual magic in the images I’ve created.

One last Christmas family session to share (besides my own tomorrow 😉)!! I’ve been lucky enough to capture this beautiful family since before their little boy was born, and now they’ve added their sweet girl….born just in time to celebrate the holiday with them! I’m sure would agree with me, this session felt pretty wild while it was happening but we sure did make some beautiful memories!!

When you invite me back into your life to capture your biggest moments, that is the best compliment ever!! This beautiful family came to one of my for Christmas, and this time they brought their newest little addition! Keep swiping to see the cutest announcement photos we took earlier this year!! 😍

Along with all my return clients, I got to meet so many new families this year!! This was a fun one. Had to share!!

When your baby boy is born just in time to enjoy all the holiday experiences with you 😍 forever one of my favorite couples that I get to work with and call my friends!

Please excuse me while it’s December 17th, one week out from Christmas and I’m only now getting around to sharing just a small handful of the amazing families I’ve gotten to photograph this holiday season!! I’ve been so deep in my editing hole that I haven’t shared anything and now time is running out but I’ll share as much as I can over the next week! 🎄🎄🎄
