After being diagnosed with Diabetes…. My liver and kidneys not working properly as they should was a curse in that split moment…. Not only does it run in my family but dam!…. You know…. Makes you question s**t.
It is now my blessing! This is the best I have felt in years… I’m 41…. And never in my LIFE have I felt sooooo gooood. Not even in my 20s.

I haven’t posted in my group for about 2 years… I love what I do but sometimes we hit bumps in the road that makes us stop in our tracks…. And you know what?…it’s ok.
Knowing I can pick up where I left off is all that matters because it’s my journey no one else’s to claim but me.
This weekend I decided to make Fire Cider for the first time. Using my passion in herbal medicine and essential oils…. As I dive deep in my education to become a Herbalist and A registered clinical aromatherapist. I am living my best life without judgement and fear.
So cheers 🥂 to the difficult times that we over come. It is said that God never gives you what you cannot handle… I am a true believer that only the strongest survive.

What is Primary Food?
Yesterday I mentioned Primary Foods in my post.
Many are asking what is Primary Food? what an interesting subject?
Primary Food are things that bring you fulfillment and joy that impact you lifestyle choices in your everyday life. It is nourishment at a deeper level.

I refrained myself for 3 weeks from posting anything online. I needed much self care time and work on areas of my primary food- Things that feed my soul, off the plate.
A digital detox was much needed to build positive relationships, focus on my spirituality, career and physical activity.
I am focusing on areas that I feel I have neglected, stuck and overall unhappy.
When you make yourself a priority not online do you become centered, focused but your more noticeably happier. You remove distractions and become less stressed. You are able to make decisions without outside influences that become your own.
As a health coach I recommend clients to do a health overhaul, begin to prioritize your health by detoxifying your life!
Decrease our stress hormones, inflammation that ultimately lead to Chronic Illness/Disease.
Here are my top 3 recommendations to begin a digital detox.
1. Turn on your screen time. This tells you by the end of the week how much time you spend on you phone.
2. Stop checking your phone first thing in the morning. This increase your stress hormones even if you don’t feel it!
3.Put your phone on do not disturb 1 hr before bedtime. Set boundaries

Listen, this past year has not been easy. COVID has impacted all of us in one way or another.
It has also given you the time to take a step back and really dig deep within your soul to make some changes. If you are like me, I took time to reflect and see what Erika needed the most, what I truly wanted. I started to make changes by taking baby steps to a better version of myself.
I invested in myself by taking an additional Nutrition Course, started to implement supplements that helps me with my Fibromyalgia. Began to be in tune with my body began to control my emotions. I am stress eater, when I get overwhelmed I begin to binge eat. However I have learned to stop and tune in with my emotions and what is causing the triggers.
When your mind and body are not connected-energetically it can cause blockages from preventing you moving forward to your goals.

Crowding out & Limitations to weight loss
I was at a point in my life where I knew I needed to change.
I just had my son, I was not at my healthiest best, chronic fatigue and headaches flooded me throughout the day.
Feeling defeated BY my OWN body.
I had Gestational Diabetes pregnant with my son, insulin shots everyday. Metformin daily. Glucose monitoring 4 times a day.
Going to the High Risk Doctors Weekly.
As your belly is growing taking insulin shots is not fun, they are in fact painful as you have no extra skin on your belly.
I freaking HATED IT! Living unhealthy everyday was a challenge.
I knew SOMETHING WAS WRONG
I knew I needed to change but never took the steps too do it.
I was just not ready, afraid, felt alone, self judgement and doubt.
IN Oct 2019 I had enough!
I WAS SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED
My level of stress what a ultimate high, changes occurred at my job
I got laid off and my health suffered.
I said "That is it"! I cant continue to live this way for myself and family.
I am tired of feeling this way AND I’M tired of my own BS"
I invested in myself and signed up for School to learn about Nutrition and Self Discovery.
MY life changed!
I began to feel alive AND ENERGIZED AGAIN!

1…5….10 to many?
I was there too, for many years I suffered from illnesses. From gut issues, IBS, chronic fatigued, chronic UTI's, chronic headaches, severe acne, unexplained random body pain. I would rush to the doctors anytime something was wrong. I would have them run all these test- blood work, imaging to find an answer. Referrals upon referrals to specialist, Just to be told nothing was wrong.
Finally one day I took control and went to see a Functional Medicine Doctor and completely change everything I thought about Medicine. Now only did this doctor help me find the root cause of my issues but it was a life changer. I started to understand more and more of Integrative Medicine, what it meant and how it actually changed peoples lives.
I knew that one day I would find myself heading in that same direction I just did know how or when. That changed in 2019 when I decided to invest in myself and learn about Integrative Medicine and Nutrition. Fast forward now 2021- I am proud to say I am a Certified Integrative Health & Wellness Coach and Certified Nutrition Coach.
I am here to empower women to take control of their health and heal generations of chronic disease by finding the root cause of the health concern and make impacting lifestyle changes with holistic health approaches.

I woke up with a tension headache this morning and did EFT, my pain level is down to a 4!

There are days where I don’t want to get up, days my body feels swollen, days I have a constant headache and brain fog.

Are you suffering from toxic load?
When we hear the word "Detox" we automatically think of starvation, living on jucing fruits and veggies for 3 days. What if I told you that that the Detoxification process is much more than fruits and veggies.
