💈✂️I’m having fun with the fuller “quarantine” hair using my insane 7” shears. (Can you find the foreshadowing hashtag hinting at what’s to come in the future?😉)
💈Flaunt what your mama gave you! Embracing the thicccness (hair). Always a good time with this guy. forever
💈🪒Straight razor fade on my 3 weeker. My clients humor me for photos, but have private lives. ✨
💁🏻 got his bi-monthly fade. 🙌🏼 Also, foreverrrrrrr.
🪒Surprise! I do more than fades. Kemp showing off a textured full razor cut. Literally the best style for someone who bikes!
Hello. Forgive me. I’m bad at IG. Here’s a fun cut Dev wanted yesterday.
✨I keep small reminders around my studio and home to keep me on top of my goals. A client gave me this 2021 Porsche Taycan paper weight in the actual white exterior paint. Maybe in a few years. 😉
✂️ Mastering your old equipment (let’s say it, busted) makes you a better barber. And then once you are able to invest and upgrade your tools, you vested that much more.
On my 10th year of barbering, I invested in new 7 inch shears. My work is the cleanest and more efficient than it’s ever been.
🎨 Did some painting on one of my favs. Who else geeks out over a smooth operator fade?? 🙋🏻♀️
🤯 Lots of men are hesitant about getting waxed. Some are concerned about pain but mostly don’t want to look feminine. I like to just clean up any stray hairs around the brows to keep a clean, masculine look. And let’s get real, everyone should get their nose waxed.
How many of you guys get regular waxing? 🕯🧖♂️
💁🏻Consistency. I’ve told many people that the first haircut you give to a new client should be the worst one. This is a brand new head your working on! Bone structure and hair texture is unique to everyone and you are learning their cowlicks, protruding bones, head dents, AND their personal preferences. As their barber, you should be refining your techniques with each visit.
I’ve been in charge of Tim’s hair grooming for 2 years and he told me this is the longest he’s stayed with a barber. All because of consistency.
✂️My main shears are 10 years old. Been with me since my first day in a salon. Having high quality shears is a must. Stronger metal doesn’t need to be sharpen as often which saves money on sharpening, but more importantly, means your shears will last significantly longer.
All you chefs know what’s up. 🔪
📸My barber chair ended up being a good backdrop...
💈I’ve gone thru 10 years of trying to find ones that work for me. MAG trimmers have been my go to for crispy edges!
What are your favorite tools? 🪓
🗣This year has been a roller coaster of emotions. With that said, I’m so grateful I took the plunge and work for myself.🙏🏻
⁉️Who’s still rocking fades or are you into the shaggy quarantine style? ✂️
It never gets old.
☑️Taking a picture is the best way to show neck lines to your clients.
