New mountain biking park breaks ground in North Bend | Snoqualmie Valley Record Tennant Trailhead Park, near Rattlesnake Mountain, to offer trails for mountain biking and hiking.

Native American Billy Mills was a virtual unknown in the 1964 Tokyo games when he won the gold medal for the United States.

Cascade Crest 100 mile endurance run took place this past weekend, July 22nd and 23rd.
Running goals were achieved, memories to last a lifetime, and a marriage proposal was made at a spectacular vista.
At mile 86, Thorp mountain, Mosi D Smith of Portland Oregon asked McKenna Boen to marry him; she said yes.
Congratulations to Mosi and McKenna we wish you the very best.

A quick reminder to all that the Run Super Series has running events this weekend, June 25th and 26th at Snoqualmie Pass on the Palouse to Cascade Trail.
Saturday they will run between Hyak and Garcia and Sunday between Hyak and Cedar Falls. Expect hundreds of runners on the trail both days.

Race directors are having trouble getting volunteers at their events lately.
Is it the price of gas that is discouraging volunteers or is it something else?

We made a beer run for Rainier to Ruston Relay.
I think the runners will be happy with the beer garden.

Rainier to Ruston Relay is happening this Saturday June 4th. They could still use some volunteers along the route and at the finish line. The race runs through the towns of Carbonado, Wilkeson, South Prairie, Orting, Puyallup, Fife and Tacoma.
