Merry holiday hours from The Color Group!

We thank you for your understanding of our use of Comic Sans in these difficult times, and we wish you a merry holiday season. ~Cheers

The bad news: Our ol' trusty Canon ImagePrograf 9400 60" printer died a terrible death, putting us temporarily out of the ability to print 60" wide prints.

The good news: Our brand-spankin' new Canon ImagePrograf 6100 (60" wide printer) arrived, and will be up and running in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

We are excited for this update to our fleet of printers, and for the update to the latest in giclée printing technology!

We are in the business of fine art reproduction, and now we really can walk the walk with our lovely in-house tea set! By the way, we are open for business, wearing masks, hand sanitizing...and are just generally sanitary anyway, so drop on in!

The shop dog, Annie isn't super pleased with it, but here at The Color Group, we're practicing all the safety measures in order to continue business while keeping you and your work virus-free.

The shop is open for normal business hours, and we look forward to seeing you!

Cool Print Story!

The owners of the Sourdough Bar in Ketchikan, Alaska contacted us, and asked us to replace their trademark backlit bar sign, which was in dire need of replacement.

They mailed us the original black and white 35mm negative slide, we scanned it to 63"x43," colorized it to look similar to the old sign, and did a little Color Group magic to it to bring out more details.

Then, we printed it to backlit substrate and optically mounted it to a piece of plexiglas, then crated it and it was sent on a barge to Alaska!

They just sent us these before and after shots, and they seem quite happy!

It’s nice to put a face on our business, but let’s face it, the print quality of this one is head and shoulders above the rest.

Photographer Michael Maine sent five gorgeous portrait shots to us, and we printed them at 48x60". They will hang at North Seattle College.

Liven up an office space with PhotoTex Fabric - a super versatile material for archival interior decor printing & installations.

The Color Group on Google PhotoTex Fabric panels are a great way to liven up an office space without damaging the walls in any way. A high resolution coating and "low tack" removable adhesive makes this a very versatile material for interior installations.

We at The Color Group take Oktoberfest very seriously. We were tasked with making a face-in-hole panel for the Oktoberfest taking place this weekend at Ounces Taproom in West Seattle. Not only did we print it, we put it through our patented rigorous testing regimen.

We have figured out a better way to increase our profit.

Also, it has a kind of Star Wars droid look, about which we are not displeased.
