Ballard Pool will be closed for routine maintenance from September 8th through September 22nd. We will reopen for normal programming on Monday September 23rd.

Attention! Ballard Pool's Polar Bears will host Meadowbrook Pool's Rocket Turtles for a Summer Swim League (SSL) meet Friday July 19th. The following programs have been cancelled for the evening:

Ballard Pool is offering Summer Camps for both Water Polo and Springboard Diving. Camps meet Monday through Thursday from 3 - 4 pm. Camp participants are eligible to swim in the 1:30 - 2:50 pm Recreation swim on class days for free! A light snack will be provided. Ages 9 to 16. Camps are $150 each.

Our two outdoor summer pools, Colman Pool and Mounger Pool, will open for the preseason on weekends only starting May 25. Regular full-time season starts on Saturday, June 22.

𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥 is really two pools in one place. The “big pool” has a 50-foot corkscrew slide, and the warmer, shallower “little pool” is great for relaxing and for teaching little ones.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥 enjoys a spectacular view of Puget Sound from its prime location on the beach in West Seattle’s Lincoln Park. It features heated salt water!

Swim Seattle welcomes you to celebrate Water Safety Day with us at Rainier Beach Community Center & Pool on Saturday, May 18 from 11am to 3pm!

The FREE Water Safety Day is open to all and will include free activities, food, music, and guest speakers, as well as a limited number of life jacket giveaways. A free family swim will also be available from 12:30 to 2 P.M.

What an incredible day at Ballard Commons Park! A massive thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the grand opening of our new play area. It was heartwarming to see the community come together for such a special occasion.

A huge shoutout to all the youth performance groups who graced us with their talent and energy, and to our fantastic vendors and community groups who added flavor and fun to the festivities.

Ballard Pool will be offering a Blended Learning American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course starting Tuesday April 9th through Friday April 12th 1-8:30pm each day and Saturday April 13th 1-6pm..

Participants must be at least 15 and will need to pass the pre-test on the first day of class in order to continue with the class. Pre-test requirements can be found at https://www.seattle.gov/parks/about-us/jobs/aquatics-employment-and-training and... look under How To Apply> Prerequisites

To successfully complete and obtain a certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, participants will need to complete all online materials BEFORE the first in-person session, pass all written and physical tests, and attend every in-person session for the course. The course is $300.
