We have another stellar box as we move ever farther into summer, and the last one before our peak CSA shares begin next week!
This week features an absolutely enormous ‘Deadon’ cabbage, as well as some fragrant ‘Italian Flat Leaf’ Parsley to brighten up your summer recipes. We also have another round of plums! These are a mild green and yellow color with a good texture and subtle sweetness.

Learn more about the Wapato Pond project at the UW Farm site at the Center for Urban Horticulture. Nearing completion, this pond was created to honor the vision of Isaaksiichaa Ross Braine, past Director of UW "wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ" Intellectual House.

What a box we have this week! Each of our shareholders is getting another pint of our ‘Beauty’ Plums, as well as a purple and gold mix of our ‘Honey Snap’ and ‘Sugar Magnolia’ Snap Peas. Go Dawgs!
Finally, zucchini are here! This week features two of our ‘Yellowfin’ zucchini that have a beautiful golden color.

Lots of familiar items in this week’s CSA box, including ‘Darkibor’ Kale as well as pints of our ‘Sugar Snap’ Snap Peas and our ‘Blizzard’ and ‘Golden Sweet’ Snow Peas.
But, the star of this week has to be our ‘Early Golden’ and ‘Beauty’ Plums! Fruit is one of the few perennial crops that shareholders will receive, and these were harvested from the permaculture right in the middle of the UW Farm! The ‘Early Golden’ is lighter in color with a sweetness balanced by a hint of tartness, while ‘Beauty’ is a deeper purple with a straight sweetness.

Hey farm folks! Catch us at Mercer Court tomorrow for a volunteer work party from 9am-12pm! We’ll finish the day with U-Pick lavender to take home and can’t wait to see you there! ✨

We’re starting to harvest a larger variety of produce as we move farther into the season! This week’s CSA box features ‘Azur Star’ Kohlrabi and ‘Chioggia’ Beets, both perfect roasting vegetables.
Each shareholder is also going home with a bunch of flowering cilantro. It’ll add a refreshing pop to summer recipes, which is sure to help with the hotter weather!

A very bountiful box this week going out to our shareholders! Featured is our “German Porcelain” Green Garlic and some ‘Deep Purple’ Scallions, which are both super aromatic and perfect for any cooking need.
And what’s that? Not one, but two pints of delicious snacking peas! ‘Blizzard’ and ‘Golden Sweet’ Snow Peas return, and this week we see the introduction of our super sweet ‘Sugar Snap’ Snap Peas.

CSA #3 is going out today with lots of amazing greens, including our colorful ‘Prismatic’ Rainbow Swiss Chard.
Featured this week is some enormous ‘Prize Choy’, a variety of Bok Choy. It’s an amazing vegetable that tastes great in a stir fry, perhaps combined with our garlic scapes also in this week’s box!

CSA #2 went out to shareholders yesterday. Lots of wonderful greens this week - check out those stunning ‘Green Glaze’ Collard Greens.
But our star this week has got to be those snow peas! A mix of ‘Blizzard’ & ‘Golden Sweet’ varietals loaded into pint containers. It’s always good to include a produce item that people can snack on right away when they pick up there box and peas are probably the best snack we grow!
