Ballard Millworks
We custom mill, kiln dry, and make furniture from local growth trees that would otherwise be cut into firewood. Most come from within 10 miles of Ballard.

I want to progressively work into chainsaw sculptures . I’m starting out by just putting random scrap together and this was todays creation. It will get mounted tk that i-beam scrap and then done. I will not be carving bears or eagles!

I haven’t been checking in much on IG , mainly because we took on more space and are creating a metal studio for metal table base construction , art , and skies the limit. Also excited for the talented
who is sharing our metal studio !
Here are a few projects we have finished this year. I am shooting for a party around summer solstice to have friends check out our new space. It’s taken soooo long to get here , however , I feel everything is in place to take on bigger projects.

Got HUGE planks
Ballard Millworks just delivered this Bar height table today after great feats of woodworking by Jack Henning Jack carefully arranged six slabs so the wood grain matched up to complete the water fall effect. Although this construction looks simple it’s actually very involved. Photo #7 illustrates the intense set up needed for glue-up so those miters are dead on 90%. The client brought these slabs to Seattle from the Midwest, the tree was planted by her and her mother but the tree sadly died. After a broad search for a company to take on this project was the only one to accept the challenge. Once again thanks to and especially for supreme ex*****on . The tree lives on!
