Despite what the inaccurate and at times sensationalist media will have you believe, The National Association of REALTORS (NAR) does not require its members to charge a 6% commission. Correcting the Record: NAR Does Not Set Commissions The rule that has been the subject of litigation requires only that listing brokers communicate an offer of compensation. Other rules throughout the MLS Handbook and NAR policy expressly prohibit setting or suggesting any such amount.

Seattle is now home to over 106,000+ residents, more than before the Pandemic. More than 336,000 jobs are based downtown, which is 54% of the city’s overall employment. Worker foot traffic averaged approximately 80,000 per day in 2023, roughly 33% more than in 2022. There are currently 31 construction projects underway in the city. And crime is down as well!

After many months of anticipation, the newest “Met Market” opened today in the Crown Hill neighborhood of Seattle. It was packed solid when I breezed through at 7pm tonignt!

I’m up in Edmonds watching my granddog, Boomer, while my son, the awesome firefighter whom he is, is working an overnight shift. Boomer and I had a fun walk along the waterfront in Edmonds this afternoon. Boomer is now snoozing while I knit!

Just dealing with this minor inconvenience these days! I’ll be up and out soon! Be safe out there, this nasty 🤢 is rearing its ugly head around here (again)! Cheers!

Homes are continuing to sell yet at a slower rate than last year do to ongoing lack of inventory. Selling prices are close to or a little higher than asking prices, in many cases. While interest rates are higher as well, some sellers are willing to help with a buyer’s downpayment there are also programs available from are lenders to help as well.
