For these trippy photos I played around with shooting through black lace as well as focusing very close on a leaf in the foreground before moving to shoot my scene. This resulted in a strange double and sometimes even triple out of focus effect which was super neat to experiment with!

I’ve been looking back at this shoot a lot lately. In fact, one of the photos from this shoot inspired the current mini project that I’m working on. There were so many lovely shots from this day and I don’t believe I have posted them all so here is Maggie flowing with the water that was trickling downstream. A snippet of my artist statement for my latest project. I’m so excited to share this series with you all! Thank you to all of my lovely models who helped me create the vision I have had in my head for so long! It’s so special to be given the opportunity to photograph feminine presenting bodies in this light while also talking about our relationship with our bodies, other’s views of our bodies and the difference in comfortability between being n**e amongst women vs men.

Talking to young women and fem presenting people about the male gaze upon our bodies when we were younger and how that has changed as we have grown into women / our older bodies has been something so releasing. The solidarity in the darker experience of existing as a woman / feminine presenting person in this world from when we were younger to now. The ugly transformative truths behind the ever changing skin of our fruit.

Hot Ghoul Summer is in full effect! This summer I’mma try to get as many friends as I can to participate in Victorian Ghost Girl Summer where we galavant at foggy light houses and in forests wearing white flowy dresses! Who’s in?

Finally got around to finish editing this shoot today! I also enrolled back in school this week! Taking a photography class this summer for the first time in 5 years! Super excited to continue my education + to rededicate my knowledge + focus towards my art 🥀
