We're launching TWO books at once this weekend!
Local children's book author Hilary Horder Hippely will be here this Saturday from 4-6, signing books and talking with the community, along with illustrator Hillary Moore. (Not to be confused with co-owner of the Couth Buzzard, Hilary Moore. Wild, right?)
Come by and get your copies of Ballad of the Broom and I Know How to Draw an Owl!
“Hippely’s lyrical, empathetic text complements James’ mesmerizing, at times haunting acrylic illustrations . . . A visually compelling, compassionate look at an often-misunderstood situation." - Starred Kirkus Review, I Know How to Draw an Owl
Tomorrow at the Couth Buzzard we're excited to welcome back Kesselgarden for a night of Jewish Folk music! 7pm!
The time has come - it's our first Genre Book Club meeting!
Have you been reading along with us? Following the cozy story of a tea monk and a wild-built robot as they find meaning in the wilderness? Or were you already a Becky Chambers fan before we even selected the book?
Either way, come and join us at the Couth for some tea (or any beverage, really) and literary conversation!
..
THANKS & for an AWESOME MINI BOOK TOUR NIGHT! It was so cool to see people come out and share memories of the city they love even in the rain.
Vanishing Seattle is coming to the Couth Buzzard TONIGHT!
Come by from 7-9 to meet the people behind the movement! Vanishing Seattle honors the places that make Seattle the sort of city we're proud to be a part of - both documenting the places that disappeared, and celebrating those that continue to thrive.
They'll be signing copies of their new book, Signs of Vanishing Seattle, and chatting with the Couth Community about their work. Come say hello, join them for a drink, and walk away with a beautifully curated book of Seattle history!
