When’s the last time you had a lamb burger?? Well, our executive chef, Ton, is Turkish, so of course, we’re introducing the Lamb Burger as our newest special 🍔
We mix the lamb with egg, sauteed red onions, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, and oregano; top it with tzatziki, feta, lettuce, and tomato, then serve it in between gluten-free buns slathered with garlic aioli. And you get our hand-cut fries with sides of ketchup and stone ground mustard aioli.

Introducing our Executive Chef + General Manager at a/stir, Ton 👨🏻🍳
After a lengthy career in product management, Ton had a classic midlife crisis. But instead of splurging on a flashy car, he made a beeline for the kitchen. Trading in spreadsheets for spatulas, he trained as a Culinarian. Ton’s culinary adventures include managing the food and beverage program at Seattle Tennis Club, ‘dean’ing at Seattle Culinary Academy, running a catering company (esca), and co-founding Locus Wines’ food-forward tasting room. Who needs a sports car when you can wear a chef’s hat? 🏎️👨🏻🍳 Now, he’s happily settled at a/stir, where he cooks up a storm of gluten-free dishes with a Mediterranean and Turkish flair.
We certainly know and love Ton, but we want YOU to get to know him as well. We’re starting a series called “Ton’s Tasty Tidbits”, where Ton will walk us through a dish at a/stir, share its history, and even give a sneak peak on how we create the dish in the kitchen. Stay tuned! 🍽️✨
