A short trip down memory lane about the charming French town of Nernier, about an hour from the Geneva airport. Nestled against the banks of Lac Lehman (also known as Lake Geneve), this quaint little hamlet is everything you’d think small town France is. Cosy cafes, a chapel with a bell that tolls every top of the hour, friendly locals, lazy afternoons and relatively untouched by but a handful of tourists meandering the almost empty cobbled paths. Our Airbnb at the Lehman Gallery is right across the marina with cafes all around us. There’s even a Michelin star restaurant a stone’s throw away. Our host Christine is the nicest I’ve ever met making sure we’re taken care of fully. The only slightly unexpected thing is the sound of planes every once in a while since it’s on the flight path to and from the airport. When the birthday girl asked me if I would document her 80th party, I knew there would be all the feels. Here’s a little video I’ve worked on that I don’t think I’ve shown anyone. Here, Sharon’s son put together a video of a life well lived and loved - and still is! I realized then that this was all documented lovingly by Sharon’s husband a while ago. You could tell how much he loved her and their family, appearing only once in the many videos he made). And then I realized that that was me. Is this thing on? I tried, my friends. I tried. I just don’t know how, y’all, because we are wedding photographers. We shoot what we’re given. Sometimes, it’s light and airy. At times, it’s dark and moody. Other times, it’s trendy or classic or quirky. How do I show all of this in a curated manner within three scrolls? I have very different clients. And tbh, I don’t really wanna shoot the same decor or vibe over and over again and I don’t know why any photographer would want to. Let me show you a full gallery of what we can do within one day. Let me show you a wedding in every season, every type of venue, every kind of lighting condition. And if you’re shopping for a wedding photographer, that’s what you need them to do, to photograph a full story, not just a curated grid.
