Seattle Justice Or Else

Donate to Support Seattle's Unhoused and Addicted, organized by Amir Islam 08/14/2024

Seattle is in the midst of a severe crisis. More than 16,000 people were reported experiencing homelessness on a single day in King County during the 2024 Point-in-Time Count—the highest number ever recorded. This figure is still considered an undercount, highlighting the scale of the issue. Additionally, the fentanyl epidemic has devastated our community. In 2023, the DEA Seattle Field Division seized 3.7 million fentanyl pills and over 280 pounds of fentanyl powder across our region. In King County alone, more than 1,067 people died from fentanyl poisonings and overdoses, a shocking 47 percent increase from the previous year.

SilentWRKS, in partnership with Raised From The Dead and Think Thought, is launching a vital initiative to provide food, clothing, and essential resources to our unhoused neighbors and those affected by addiction. We aim to provide immediate relief through unhoused kits containing essential items like food, clothing, hygiene products, and information on support services. These resources are crucial for those struggling with homelessness and addiction. But our impact goes beyond material aid—it's about offering hope, dignity, and a sense of community.

The Power of Community:
We cannot tackle these crises alone. It takes a collective effort to make a difference. Your support is essential in enabling us to reach more people, distribute more resources, and offer a lifeline to those in need. By coming together, we can show that our community cares deeply and is committed to making a positive change.

Who We Are:
SilentWRKS is a creative consultancy dedicated to addressing critical issues in our communities. We are joined by Raised From The Dead and Think Thought, organizations led by individuals who have overcome addiction and are now living in recovery. Their personal experiences with these challenges provide invaluable insight and drive our mission.

Our First Event:
Our kickoff event, “To: Chinatown with Love,” will focus on supporting those struggling with active addiction in Seattle's International District. This area has been heavily impacted by the fentanyl crisis, and our goal is to provide immediate relief and support to those most affected.

Join Us:
By supporting this campaign, you are contributing to a broader movement aimed at tackling homelessness and addiction. Your donation will help us provide essential resources and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Together, we can bring hope and support to our community during these challenging times.

If you're unable to contribute financially but still want to help, please consider sending an in-kind donation. For more information on how to donate items please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Thank you for standing with us and for those who need it most.
