Come hang out with us on Valentine’s Day! We’re having a listening party for the new IDLES album ‘TANGK’ before it’s released on the 16th! We will have some limited promo items to give out when we start the record at 5PM, 2/14/24 at all three Silver Platters locations. Exclusive giveaways while supplies last.

Here’s all the details on our Green Day ‘Saviors’ listening event this Saturday! This is a free/all ages event. We will start handing out all the limited promo event items and wristbands at 1:30PM. We ask that no line form before that time. We will have a limited supply of wristbands, posters, pins, and lyric books to hand out then. The wristbands will be numbered, those are for the exclusive “listening event” preorder LP jacket we are getting. Each store will have 10 of those, and those are only available for people who preorder the LP during this event. You’ll have to come back when the record is released (1/19) to pick that up. You do not have to preorder the record to attend. If you just want to come at 2PM when we start the record and just hang out and listen to the album you’re free to do that too. We will also have some exclusive listening party shirts to giveaway when the record is over, you’ll be able to enter the drawing for those at any time during the event for free, and we’ll draw the winners when the record is over.

The new Green Day album ‘Saviors’ is coming out January 19th, but we’ve got an exclusive sneak peak listening event for the record on SATURDAY JANUARY 13th at 2PM at all three Silver Platters locations. So you can hear the record in its entirety almost a full week before it’s released. We will also have exclusive giveaway items to give out (all giveaway items are limited) more specific info coming soon. For now just remember, Green Day listening event. 1-13-24 at 2PM at all three Silver Platters.

Just a reminder, we will be open 10am-6pm on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day, and 10am-6pm on New Year’s Eve, and 11am-7pm on New Year’s Day. All other days we will be open regular business hours.

Join us this FRIDAY 12/8 at 5PM at the LYNNWOOD Silver Platters for a listening event for the new Neil Young release ‘Before & After’, available on CD and Indie Exclusive Clear Vinyl. We will have posters for all who attend, and you can enter to win a Neil Young hat, a hoodie, t-shirts, and we will also have an extremely limited TEST PRESSING of the album to give away. See you this Friday at the Lynnwood store at 5PM.

RSD Black Friday is coming: November 24th, to be precise. Our approach for the last few seemed to work well so we're going to do it the same way. Let's review: A line will form early. The RSD titles will not be available for browsing upon opening. Instead, we will be handing out lists of all 11/24 RSD drops. Lists will be handed out no later than 9AM and continue until the demand or availability of product has dwindled. Select as many titles as you wish (only one copy of each title) and no need to rank your choices. Work quickly so we can gather the forms and start processing them. Once your "order" is filled we'll contact you outside the store and invite you in to pay. The store opens for "regular" hours at 11 AM. We hope to have processed all the lists by then. If not, we will ask all RSD shoppers to remain outside while their orders are filled. Come prepared with your wish list and a pen!

The newly remastered and expanded 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 collections (Red and Blue) are available in stores today, in a variety of different versions!

You asked for them, daily, for years and years. Finally we’ve got posters! The Lynnwood store is all set up with over 60 posters to choose from, and more coming in soon! Bellevue will have a slightly different selection coming early this week. Let us know what artists you’d like to see, and if our poster company stocks those artists we will try to get them for you. (Unfortunately, no Taylor Swift at the moment, but we hear you.)

We’ve also got the Motley Crue ‘Shout At The Devil’ 40th box set, picture disc and CD, with limited guitar picks and this Creem magazine fold out poster while supplies last, and the indie exclusive version of the Botch EP ‘An Anthology of Dead Ends’ back in print. Plus new albums by Duran Duran, Black Pumas, Taking Back Sunday, DJ Shadow, and so much more in the bins. Happy new release Friday!

Tomorrow is the big day! We will be having a listening party Tues 10/24 for the new album ‘Danse Macabre’ at all three Silver Platters locations. We have an extremely limited amount of Duran Duran slipmats, 4 different designs of stickers, and exclusive posters for the event to give out to attendees. We will hand out wristbands starting at 4:30pm, and music starts at 5. This is a free event! You can pre-order your copy of the album (CD/LP) at that time too, but it’s not required at all. See the list of participating locations around the USA to see what other shops in your area are participating too. Feel free to dress up, break into spontaneous dance, and have fun! In addition, and ONLY AT OUR LYNNWOOD LOCATION, we will have special guest Andrew Golub from with a collection of some of his artifacts from his archive. I’ve seen the archive myself, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most impressive and comprehensive collection of a bands memorabilia I’ve ever seen. He will have copies of his book on hand to purchase, so this should be a blast for everyone at our Lynnwood party. Hope to see you tomorrow!

There are a lot of huge new releases this week, but one of my (personal) favorites has to be these Burning Witch reissues. This legendary Seattle doom band had a massive impact on heavy music, locally and globally. Members would go on to form acts like Sunn O))), Goatsnake, Asva, and many more. These two EPs recorded during their brief three year existence (1995-1998) have been out of print for a long time. It’s awesome to see them in shops, so grab them while you can!
