In 2023, we decided “hey let’s start playing shows again!” (always easier said than done with the 7 of us).
But we did it. We played some shows - 4 of them to be exact. At two venues. If you know us, well, you know that’s something.
•
🙏Enormous thanks to everyone at and for letting us take over for a couple of two-show days.
•
👧🧒Thanks to the all-ages who came to our all-ages shows.
•
👨👩👦👩👧👨👩👧👦Thanks to our partners, spouses, families, friends, and fans (a not-always-overlapping Venn diagram) for keeping us honest and supported.
•
🪦 To our old fans: we love you, thank you for sticking with us for almost *checks sundial* TWENTY years. 👍
•
👶🏻To our new fans: we love you. Please be patient with us. We are new to Instagram this year and we’re already rattled by the rush. 👍
•
🏆And yes, 2024 marks our TWENTIETH year together! Barring a “we need to talk” message on the band Slack channel, there will be more to come from the “A”s.
•
Until then, remember to
💪Make it big
🎯Do it right
🥂Give it class

🎊Happy New Year!
FLASHBACK! 2005 - That time we played Capitol Hill Arts Center’s Lower Level on NYE (RIP CHAC).
We listed all our songs on a big sheet of yellow paper behind us and folks yelled out what they wanted us to play and we played it. 🎶
This was back when David was in that movie “Memento” and Shaun Cassidy sat in for us on accordion. Baby times… 👶🏻💗 😎
Were you at that show?
What a total blast at Town Hall this weekend!💥Thanks to all those who joined us in the room and on the streams. The new songs, the old stuff, the shenanigans, the votes, motions, proposals, space trips, and fistfights… we covered a lot at this one.
ADJOURNED til next time! 🎸💗⭐️

It’s the day of the SHOWS!
Backstage at Town Hall:
1. Kirk gets really steamed.
2. David discovers what it really took to get us on the cover of the TH calendar.
3. Basil with the winner of the 2009 Air Guitar Championships: Margaret Atwood.
How do Rob and John A prepare for the shows tomorrow? Play a holiday party with The Toucans at the top of the Columbia Tower!
Local biz shoutout to Mike & Mike’s Guitar bar! 👏 🙏
Our bass player and amateur hair model Basil Harris had a last-minute electrical failure in the guts of his beloved Fender mere DAYS ahead of our two shows at Town Hall Seattle.
😬 After throwing a bunch of darts at his phone, he decided instead to try Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar in Seattle’s scenic Fremont neighborhood.
Big thanks to Tyler and Adam (neither named Mike) for the super-quick repair and some extra love on the fretboard action, and to co-owner Ben and friendly staffer Courtney (also not named Mike) for the warm welcome! He even got to play a $24K guitar while he was waiting. We can’t even spell $24K!
Anyway, the day was saved and the shows on Sunday will continue WITH a bass!
Don’t forget lunch!

Hello “A” fans!
Please consider nominating us to receive a $10K grant from !
For more than a decade, this org has been supporting local musicians and artists (good!) who are working to keep this city fun and weird (also good!) in the midst of all (gestures broadly) this nonsense (not great!)
As you know, the kind of stuff we do requires a rehearsal spot with more space and resources than your average jam den, and a grant like this could help make that a reality. Which ultimately means more earthly delights from yours trulies (really good! Depending on who you ask!)
Details below and thanks for being “Awesome”!

The weekend was a blur
Happy Bandcamp Friday!
Mellow out this weekend with “Adrift” - the little 5-song EP we put together in 2011. Features two versions of the title track, a moody ocean instrumental, a mysterious ramp-up rocker that has nothing to do with snakes, and an epic tune about a Hawaiian flower. Follow the Bandcamp link in our bio for this and all our albums!
Rehearsal was hot af today. If you know what I mean…

The band came out in force tonight for our own ’s 50th birthday party. I mean check out on guitar. The dude’s all fingers. That’s commitment. Happy birthday, Doctor! 🥳🥳🥳

We grew these mustaches for the show last week. Some of them were fake, but you’ll have to guess which on-dammit Kirk.
