This Sunday is Father's Day! Dads, enjoy a fresh homemade chocolate chip cookie and a cup of coffee on us. We look forward to celebrating with you. Stop by the table in the commons after services.
At HSM we saw God doing great work in the life of our ministry this past year, specifically in our senior class. As we celebrate the 15 graduates, we can see that God is moving in this group. Just this semester we had two students make commitments to Christ for the first time, another recommitment, and another be baptized. It is such a blessing and privilege to send these seniors out into the world with the hope of Christ and a faith ready for everything ahead.
Celebrating our 2024 High School and College Graduates!
Lord, we ask that You help these children to walk in Your wisdom and grace. We pray for spiritual eyes and discernment in all things. Help them to be wise leaders and influencers in this generation, not conformed to the world, but transformed by Your power. We ask that You would equip them with all that they need to make a difference for Your purposes. Help them to live as salt and light in a dark world that so desperately needs to know Your truth. Make their hearts and spirits open to every plan and purpose You have for them, and to be willing to boldly go wherever You call. In Jesus’ name we pray.

Beloved Christ Church member and WWII Veteran, Warren Goss traveled to Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day (June 6). Warren's story is incredible and we are so thankful for him, for his service, and his love for the Lord.

Sunday was a special day as we came together to honor our incredible youth on Youth Sunday! From recognizing our high school and college graduates... to witnessing the inspiring leadership of our students who led service worship and prayer, it was a celebration filled with joy, gratitude, and hope for the future.
To all our graduates and youth leaders, thank you for your remarkable contributions to our church family. Your service, leadership, and faithfulness inspire us all. As you embark on new journeys and adventures, may you continue to shine brightly and make a positive impact wherever you go.
Hello, June!
All events can be found at ccgf.org/connect.
This Sunday is Youth Sunday at Christ Church. We will be highlighting our high school and middle school ministries, praying for our graduates, and celebrating our young people for the life and love they bring to our multigenerational church family.
Serving is part of who we are here at Christ Church. Serving others shines a light that glorifies God. There are so many opportunities for you to serve alongside us within the church and also within the community. Last week, we helped our partner Pine Valley Camp by cleaning and getting the camp ready for hundreds of kids this summer to have fun AND learn about Jesus! We also partnered with YWAM in downtown Pittsburgh engaging people in spiritual and gospel conversations.
Coming up on June 9, we will be collecting food donations for Pine Valley Camp’s summer camp program. For a list of items needed, click here: https://www.ccgf.org/missions/reachlocal/
If you’d like to serve with our missions team, watch your weekly email for upcoming summer serving opportunities.
By spending time with your church family, you not only nurture your own spiritual and emotional health but also contribute to the growth and strength of the community as a whole.
At our Family Gathering last week, we enjoyed an outdoor meal together, took a prayer walk on the property, and listened to a panel answering questions about the "For the Sake of the World" campaign.
If you'd like to read the questions and answers, they are posted on our website: https://www.ccgf.org/campaign/
Plan to join us at our next Family Gathering in the Fall.
IN REMEMBRANCE of those who kept aloft this banner of freedom with their lives. “Greater love has no one than this: than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” John 15:13
Community, refreshment, sharing, laughter, and love. The staff girls enjoyed an afternoon out of the office yesterday which included an amazing lunch, a meaningful Bible study, a beautiful walk, prayer, and some downtime. These girls work hard to support the ministry of Christ Church at Grove Farm and have chosen to dedicate their careers to Kingdom work. We are so grateful for each of them, for their devotion to our church family, for their love of the Lord and His people, and for their unique skills and talents that they share with all of us.
Our Women's Ministry would like to share our Summer Series with you! 'The Goodness of the Lord in the Land of the Living'.
Connect with others and with God at these gatherings. Enjoy a variety of apps, hear a testimony of God’s goodness, and spend extended time praising God together. Bring your friends and neighbors! All ages are welcome.

What is Pentecost?
The word "Pentecost" is derived from the Greek word "pentēkostē," which means "fiftieth," signifying the fiftieth day after Easter Sunday. Pentecost Sunday commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples and other believers.
Pentecost is considered a pivotal moment in the early Christian Church because it marked the empowering and equipping of the disciples with the Holy Spirit. It signified the birth of the Church as a community of believers and marked the beginning of spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ to the wider world. The disciples, who were initially fearful and uncertain, were emboldened by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Gospel and carry out the mission of Jesus.
Pentecost assures us that Jesus keeps his promises and it reminds us of the church’s primary purpose: to share the love of Jesus to the ends of the earth.

Moments of Gratitude:
It’s our privilege to honor the women in our church family on Mother’s Day with flowers. The flower bar was organized by one of our faithful volunteers, Vera Marelli. She ordered all the flowers, received the deliveries, separated and watered them, and made sure they were ready for Sunday. Thanks also to her helpers: Laney Gyergyo, Debbie Bowman, and Nancy Kramer.
We are so thankful for these women, for their cheerfulness and willingness to serve, even on a holiday meant for them.
This is “Every Member Ministry” at Christ Church at Grove Farm.
Join us this coming Saturday, May 18 as we help our partner, Pine Valley Camp, get ready for another summer of serving kids with the love of Jesus Christ! Come for part of the day or all of it. What a special Mother's Day treat it was to have guest pianist Wilberta Pickett with us this past Sunday. Wilberta is the mother of Christ Church members, Judy (Bob) Wagner and Louise Pickett. Wilberta has been an organist and choir director for several churches over the years, and at 95 years old, she still captivates when she plays. We were truly blessed by her talent and thankful for her visit. If you missed it, you can check out the service here: https://www.youtube.com/live/Zix_moSLAmg?si=A_umGrLzTam-iK0_
Saturday, we had a wonderful new event called Coffee + Conversations. Women were treated to specialty coffee in unique mugs (no two were the same!) and then engaged in creative conversation prompts, finishing up with unifying worship. If you’d like to get involved with our women’s ministry, watch for a summer testimony series beginning in June.

This Sunday, we honor the incredible women who have shaped our lives—whether they're still by our side or watching over us from above. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, both near and far, whose love and legacy inspire us daily.
Moms, we will have a special gift waiting for you, and a Mother's Day balloon arch! 🎈✨ Join us in the commons area for celebrations.
We want to honor and pray for our 2024 Graduates in services on Sunday, June 2!
If you have graduated from high school or college this year, or if you have a graduate in your family that you’d like us to celebrate and pray for, visit www.ccgf.org/grads to submit your student's name. The deadline is May 24.
The graduates’ names and photos will be shown on screen in service during the prayer time and also on the pre and post-service slides.
You know spring has sprung when the leaves on the trees unfurl, the flowers blossom, and the fountains are installed 😆.
We are grateful for our facilities team and the hard work they put into making our campus beautiful.
Our mission is to present everyone fully mature in Christ.
Moments of Gratitude:
At Christ Church, the warmth of community extends beyond the pews, woven together by the selfless acts of volunteers like Carolyn Carson. Each month, with meticulous care, she embroiders the front of dozens of welcome bags for our new visitors.
Carolyn’s efforts embody the hospitality that defines our congregation, and for that we are grateful.
At Christ Church, there are many ways to serve. Sometimes it's by using your gifts and skills. This is Every Member Ministry at Christ Church at Grove Farm.
