Happy 6th Anniversary to us!! As most of you know Cinco De Mayo is always a fun time for us! We are celebrating Saturday May 4th this year at the salon from 11am to whenever we decide to stop! We will have food, drinks, games and PRIZES! Mark it on your calendar!!!

I want to thank everyone that donated to the appreciation goodie bags for the S P D officers. I had local businesses go above and beyond. NStockNow.Boomarang Diner. State Beauty Supply of Shawnee. Natalie Arnett - State Farm Insurance Agent. Brad West. The Downtown Clinic. Amanda Bingham Shirey Plus many friends and family of The Cowlick Salon! It feels good to show them that they have a community that stands behind them and appreciates everything they do for us on a daily basis.

To say I’m irritated would be an understatement. I know our City is struggling financially. I get that. I also know our S P D have not been supported by our City. They were denied raises AGAIN this year. We have lost 20 officers lately because they can drive 20-30 mins and make 15%-21% more. Thats huge! I know for a fact that other city officials were given raises…🤷‍♀️ There is nothing I can do about it until next vote time but I want them to know that the community appreciates everything they do. I’m going to make goodie bags for every one of them! If you would like to donate you can contact me or come to The Cowlick Salon 702 E Independence and drop off. We are there Tues-Friday 9:00-7:00. Some things that I think would be good are:

Protein bars
Single pks of trail mix
Beef jerky
Single pks of sunflower seeds/cookies/crackers
Gum
Candy
Mints
Chapstick/lip balm
5 hr energy shots
Flavor packs for water
Emergency-C packs for water

Small hand sanitizer

Or anything else you might think of 😉

Also S P D has 4 K9 dogs so sturdy toys and tennis balls would be appreciated.
