We had a fun time at the Plein Air event this weekend! Posting some progress photos of mostly unfinished works. Not pictured: the delicious pastry and coffee we were offered before going out. Thank you and Karen for hosting. It was a great day of much needed sun and art!

This Saturday from 9am to 3pm! Join us for some fresh Plein Air! This is a FREE event, bring your gear and some food and water for the time you'll be joining us. We're very excited about getting out and stretching our legs.

Ever wondered about Plein Air painting? Join us at the McArdle property to get together and paint the fall colors and enjoy networking with community members and artists. All artists levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to engage and learn from each other. All mediums welcome. Photographers welcome.

Did you know we have Kolinsky-grade red sable brushes? While these are not made from the animal traditional kolinsky brushes are made from, it is hard to tell the difference while using these. This event is designed for makers of all levels to come together, share experiences, and explore topics like innovative uses of 3D printing, projects for makers in the community, and studio spaces in the surrounding area for makers.

Our amazing talented wonderful friend Frank Juarez entrusted his photo of Jean-Michel Basquiat to us for framing. We chose a classic white archival mat with a substantial 8-ply depth to match the dramatic angled profile of the moulding and protected by beautifully clear museum glass. It was an honor to frame this artwork.

This human writes that she just floats around and pivots, which is very true! She does hard things and makes them look easy. - These are helpful (but not required) -
Paint chip or wall color, a photo of where the piece might hang is ideal. You might also want to consider the color of woodwork in the room or the color of other frames on the wall. Some people like to have a lot of symmetry and cohesiveness and some people like the unique differences of each custom frame!

- Other things to consider -
[Glass] Will the art be hanging in direct sunlight? Direct sunlight (and even indirect light) can damage artwork and cause fading without the proper glass, we will help you decide what is right for your piece.

[Mat/Spacer] Artwork needs room to breathe and ideally spacing between the glass and artwork is preferred. This prevents moisture and artwork damage. We can help with those decisions and make sure you have proper matting or spacers for your piece.
