And this is why consultations are so important. This client was new to me. It looks like she has an old balayage but what she really had done previously was an all over solid black color. It had faded out over time and she wanted to go back to a lighter balayage.

I did traditional foils in the back and side of the head. Then balayaged the top of her hair. As you can see, it lifted very uneven. I did a root smudge to soften the highlights and prayed to the color gods that the toner takes even. In the end, you can still slightly see the imperfection but we both were happy with the results!

It’s not perfect but I explained to her it will take several appointments to even out the colors.

Love LOVE my job. I have amazing clients that trust me and this client specifically is my longest follower. It’s probably been close to 10 years of her coming to see me.

We met in my early years of hair dressing. (That was a scary time 😅)
I’ve done her hair through college, had the honor of doing her and her husband’s hair for their wedding. After leaving La Crosse, she found me on Instagram and followed me to Sheboygan. Traveled all the way from Madison to see me.

After spending almost 6hours in my chair, I achieved this bright blonde for her. Still not perfect but as long as there wasn’t any orange left, she was happy. I can’t thank all my clients enough for the love and support. ❤️

Color corrections are always difficult and I never know how the end results will be. I’m surprised that in only two sessions, we achieved a bright blonde. Absolutely thrilled with the results. 😍

And the 90’s is back! Been a while since I’ve done black color with platinum blonde highlights. 😍
