Always fun when manufacturers showcase your hard work. This is a lower level lounge space in a beautiful home we built in Cedarburg a few years ago. Plus, their products are great. They make an excellent combination beer/wine refrigerator with separate temperatures we have used multiple times.

Exposed lower level walls built and 24 inch floor trusses set. The added height of these floor trusses will allow us to route the mechanicals through them without interrupting the basement ceiling with dropped soffits.

Lumber delivered, framing begins. Looking forward to using the Zip-R wall sheathing. The 1-1/8” Advantech also results in a rock-solid floor system. Like John Wooden, I prefer to get off the bus with the better team.

Backfill complete, and work continues on the pond.

And that’s a wrap on the exterior on this one. Still some remaining work on the interior, but I can’t wait to see what the owners do with this beautiful setting.

We like to use landscaped window wells when possible in order to install larger window assemblies in basements and allow us to flood the area with natural light. We install stone down to the perimeter drain tile so that we do not, however, flood the basement with water as well. 😉
It definitely brought the area to life when we finished this basement for second owners of a home we built a few years ago.

Love how this kids’ bath turned out in our 2021 Parade home. The separate shower/toilet space is nice if space allows so that multiple people can effectively use the bathroom at the same time.

Even with the remnants of snow outside, it is a perfect sunny afternoon today for a nap in this screen porch with 4-track units from Porch Conversions.

Thankfully got the walls poured on this one before what is hopefully the last snowmageddon of the season. Shoutout to Oostburg Concrete Products for getting this done in a timely manner.

Almost ready for footings for this new project in Cedarburg. Could really use some dry weather on this very wet site.

Haven’t done a house with this much stained wood in a while. Great to be able to showcase the beauty of natural wood.

Love the clean termination of the square balusters into the white oak treads.

We designed this garage entry to provide plenty of storage options, while keeping things neat and tidy.

LED lights like this are everywhere now, but this Modern Forms Kinetic from a 2019 project is still one of my favorites.

This would be a great spot to spend a snow day this time of year.

We often use fiberglass exterior doors for their durability and stability in our climate, but there is no true replacement for a wood door. This walnut door from was the perfect fit for this project.

Another favorite from this 2013 project. We ended up converting the screens to four track units a few years after they were in, which allows them to use the room year-round now, but I did love the expansive view we were able to achieve with the screens here.

The interior stone on this project was fun, as were some of the homeowners’ paint selections.

Hard to believe this was 10 years ago. Still one of my favorite spaces that we’ve done.
