Shelburne Troop 602

Congratulations to Troop 602’s newest Eagle Scout, Nick Russell. (Congrats to his parents too…it’s a great accomplishment all around!)

There is one last lonely tree left still awaiting a good home for the season! We will look forward to seeing everyone next year.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the tree sale a success this year. If you’ve driven by the parade field, you’ve seen that the racks are empty. Our suppliers have stopped cutting trees, and we are not anticipating any further deliveries this year. We wish you all wonderful holiday and a happy New Year!

Thanks to the early morning crew who showed up to get some more trees today, we’ve got a few on the parade field for sale! A special shout out to Andy Collette from Burlington Bedrooms for supplying the truck and trailer for transport.

We’ve been selling trees as fast as we can get them! We are currently very low on trees, so will not be staffing the stand in the afternoon today (Saturday, 12/9). But don’t worry…we have a crew going to bring us more trees late tomorrow morning, so come on by tomorrow and grab one while the picking is good!

The Christmas trees are here! Come on down to the Shelburne parade field in the center of town and we’ll help you pick out the best tree. We are self-serve during the week, but we will be around Friday evenings (5p-8p) and during the day on Saturdays and Sundays (9a-5p). If we are around, we’ll be happy to help load and secure your trees.

Busy day included bus-train-train-train-bus, funicular-bus-train-rappel-giant swing-river jumps x3-train-train-bus travel as we worked our way through glacially fed waterfall caves and canyoning out of Interlaken. Now we are tired.

Up the Gondola between hail storms to a beautiful alpine lake before we rode the Rodelbahn during the only dry(ish) period of the day!

Gfellalp hut…tough hike up, but worth the hard shelter for the storms overnight! View’s not bad either.

Troop 602 checked out the postcard views from the Thun Castle turrets this morning. Do not burn down your father-in-law’s house or you could end up on the wrong side of the Sword of Thun (currently housed in the North turret).

Troop 602 is rockin’ the slopes of Trottiland on our Trotti bikes in Adelboden, Switzerland! Watch out behind you if you hear squeaking brakes.

Troop 602 would like to congratulate its newest Eagle Scout, Fisher Irwin, on completing his Board of Review! Thanks also go out to the Board members for taking the time to do the lengthy review.

Hello Shelburne! Don’t worry if you haven’t had a chance to get a tree yet, it’s only Dec 11 and we’ll have one more batch of freshly cut trees arriving by Tuesday.

We have an assortment of smaller, table- top trees available for self serve today, but realize we are running low on larger trees.

Racks are up! Troop 602 is looking forward to seeing everyone for this year’s annual Christmas Tree Sale on the green in the center of Shelburne. Trees will arrive this week and we will have our first staffed shift on the Friday after Thanksgiving. If you don’t see scouts, self-serve instructions for payment are on the side of the shed.
