Our instructors were drilling with the middlebury fire department on our new class “tools of the trade for household entrapments” members were able to drill on scenarios such as rings stuck on fingers, hands stuck in drainpipes and impalements. as always we had our Fire-Dex Dex-rescue gloves in service!

Our Strategic Services team has been awarded a contract from Anderson County, Tennessee to conduct a Fire Protection Study of the fire departments and rescue squad within the county. Thank you to the Anderson County administration for trusting us with this important project.

The 5-week EMT Boot Camp is for those individuals who find it impractical to travel on consecutive Saturdays – usually out-of-state students. So, we run the skills sessions Monday-Thursday. Since you must travel, we scheduled the Practical Skills evaluation for the skills session work on Friday. Click the link below for more information. When we do our live fire training we don’t just run through the motions and get through it, we take the time to help the members understand what is going on and why. I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, if you want to be good at this business you have to understand how buildings react to fire, and and the fire reacts to the building. Our Strategic Services Team has been awarded a contract with the City of Monroe, Wisconsin to develop a strategic plan for the Monroe Fire Department. Work will begin in the Fall. We thank the fire department, city administrator, and city council for trusting our team with this important project.

Our Strategic Services team completed an Organizational Assessment and Strategic Plan for the Kutztown Fire & Rescue Department in Pennsylvania. We would like to thank all of the men and women in Kutztown for their assistance and participation in the project.

Our Fire instructors were out training with Members of the Prospect Fire Department at an acquired structure Live Burn. By utilizing an actual structure we were able to cover skill specific scenarios like vent limited fires, Thermal imager use, coordinated fire attack and more. Our Testing Services team continues with a busy month. The team administered a Lieutenant exam last week and will be delivering multiple entrance exams this week, including one in Ohio for Delaware County EMS.

It was a busy week for our Testing and Strategic divisions. We conducted multiple promotional examinations this past week and more exams are scheduled for this month. The Strategic services team is currently working on a Standards of Cover project and a Strategic Plan project. This week the team was awarded a contract by the city of Monroe, Wisconsin to create a 5-year Strategic Plan for the fire department. Thanks to our clients and our extremely dedicated and professional group of test developers, evaluators, and consultants.

Results of Warren County volunteer fire deparment survey to be released The report includes 60 recommendations for change with a multimillion dollar price tag, though the county is not required to make any of those changes.
