Artist Statement:
Artistry: Poet, Abstract Painter, orator DeTells is an up and coming multidisciplinary artist from Shreveport who dives into the worlds of abstract art, poetry and profound speech .Her overall Lens for art comes from the perspective of her many intersectionalities . Not only is she African American artists residing in the south but she also is apart of the invisible disabled community and her work reflects such. Her art keeps marginalized intersections in the forefront especially from a disabled bodied lens. Nuances perceptible paintings encourages tangibility that is meant to evoke emotions of empathy, resolve and curiosity .
