MEET OUR CONTRACTOR: JADE DISHMAN has constructed nearly every single set (that's 90+ productions and counting) since our debut in 2012!! Every piece of scenery that you see on our stages has been touched first by her. She works wonders with a tight budget and an even tighter timeline, and that takes remarkable creativity, on top of balancing her work at many other area theaters as a contractor and stage manager.

MEET OUR PRODUCTION MANAGER: CANDY HUGGINS wears a lot of hats here at Stage Center. A fashion and costume designer, administrative genius and all-around organizer, Candy keeps the train on the tracks and moving in the right direction. We are also celebrating 10 years of her creative and managerial skills since she first officially joined our ranks back in 2015.

MEET THE PLAYWRIGHT: SELINA FILLINGER is an award-winning, internationally produced writer and performer. Her satirical farce, POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Du***ss are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, garnered three Tony nominations and made Fillinger, at 28, one of the youngest female playwrights ever produced on Broadway. Other plays include Baby, Under the Sill, The Collapse, Something Clean, Faceless, and The Armor Plays: Cinched/Strapped. Her work has been developed at Roundabout Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, Williamstown Theatre, Old Globe Theatre, and Alley Theatre, among others. She is currently commissioned at Roundabout and South Coast Repertory. She has developed TV with AMC, Freeform, Hunting Lane, and Hulu, and a feature with Chernin/Netflix. She wrote for the third season of Apple TV’s The Morning Show. Fillinger was named to the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Hollywood/Entertainment.

MEET OUR ESTEEMED DIRECTOR, LYN CRAMER:
Lyn is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and has created shows for Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Casa Mañana in Fort Worth, and Broadway Rose in Oregon. A teacher and choreographer for three decades, Lyn is a Weitzenhoffer Endowed Professor specializing in tap, jazz and theatre dance styles. She was named the 2005 Irene and Julian J. Rothbaum Presidential Professor of Excellence in the Arts by the Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts. Lyn received her Master’s degree from the University of Texas in Directing. She has released ten instructional videos in tap for Cathy Roe Productions and authored a book, "Creating Musical Theatre" which includes great conversations with Broadway’s hottest Directors and Choreographers. In 2004, Lyn was honored with the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters Artistic Achievement Award. This marks her Stage Center debut!

Check out our incredible cast, and did you know the show will feature our first live band in nearly six years!

We never know what the experience and reception will be when we choose to produce a show. This was a particular curious one as the IP is somewhat controversial and polarizing. I am so happy to be able to report that this was a watershed experience after 11 weeks of rehearsal with an incredible and dedicated cast and crew, and 4 exuberant performances thanks to our enthusiastic audiences. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make The SpongeBob Musical special, and to everyone who came to cheer us on and let us entertain you with our adventures in Bikini Bottom! JJW
