Oscar(the big black dog) has a friend!
He has been with me 7 months and I've always been hesitant and unsure how he would do with another dog. He has always been super interested and no obvious aggressive behaviors but he is a lot and very jumpy and bitey and in the other dogs face.
Luckily lady bird is just as wild and crazy as he is and not bothered by how obnoxious he can be.
They had a blast and played until they were exhausted and filthy.

Poor Rocky has spent the past 8 days at animal control. They were able to make contact with owner/adopter who no longer wants him. I'll be picking him up tomorrow. He will need to see our vet for basic care and to discuss his heartworm status and age and how to proceed. We will likely do a slow kill method for Heartworm treatment if our vet agrees that's best for him. If you would like to help with Rockys vetting please consider making a donation. We have a great foster home lined up and we are crossing our fingers and toes he is a perfect fit for their home. πŸŒ™ Luna is ready to find her forever family! ❀️ She is 3 months old and so full of personality! She is up to date on vaccines, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. She loves to go out on the boat, swim in the pool and enjoy the company of humans and other dogs. This girl is an all around great puppy! Like all puppies, she needs lots of exercise and socialization & someone who will be consistent with potty training and teaching her manners. Luna is already a big girl and we expect her to be a large dog full grown. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.savedbygraceanimalrescue.com

Freedom ride** Donations needed** This girl known as Tina turner at the shelter has been pulling at our hearts. We have named her Cricket and she is now at our vet - Bossier Animal Hospital. We were able to save her because a former foster/adopter has stepped up and offered to foster. She is covered in mange and sores and also unaltered and heartworm positive. She will need vet care, love, and time to heal. We've also taken in a puppy recently who needs vet care and will potentially be taking in the senior pittie boy we've been posting. We have also needed more boarding lately due to fosters (myself included) wanting to take a summer vacation. This is all on top of the basic care we provide such as food/vaccines/flea/tick/heartworm prevention. We have also been doing lots of TNR and have a sick cat currently at our vet. Donations and adoptions have been slow and we could really use you helping keeping out vet bills covered. You can donate through venmo at savedbygrace-animalrescue Paypay- [email protected] Or call our vet directly at 318-746-7821 Thank you all for your continued support πŸ₯°

Here are just 3 of our dogs and also 3 kittens. The red/brown guy is Kingston and he has been with us almost 4 years- he is a big sweet boy. Shy at first but warms up and is very well behaved. The white dog is Lady Bird who has been with us about 13 months. She's on the smaller side. She's short but a little chunky. The black dog is Oscar and he has been with us going on 7 months. He is older and so sweet and just wants to be loved all the time. The 3 kittens are sassy, Nugget, and Monkey. They will all be fixed next week and on the hunt for a family of their own. This is my dog building and everyone is spending more time kenneled because we have work and it's too hot to be left outside for long periods of time. We sure would love to have more foster families join our team and we would love even more if people would consider giving some of our long term larger breed dogs a forever home. These are only a few SBG animals. You can find a list of all of our available dogs on our website. They really deserve all the love. If interested please apply at www.savedbygraceanimalrescue.com

Really hoping for a home sooner than later..... Rainy and her little friend were found dumped on the side of the road back in october of last year. Her friend was adopted quickly but poor Rainy...has gotten very little attention. Yes she is a black pittie mix but she is adorable and on the smaller side weighing 38 pounds. She absolutely LOVES playing fetch and enjoys all toys and playing with most other dogs. I do feel she would do best with a playful male dog. She is a active girl who needs a active home. Someone who has time to play, go for walks or jogs, take for rides in the car. Our girl did 2 weeks board and train at All Dogs Unleashed and did very well. The training is for a lifetime and they will work further with anyone who adopts her. She is approximately 3 years old and fully vetted and UTD on vaccines and prevention. She is great in a kennel and does well in the house. Our girl is long past due for a home and family of her own. If interested please apply at www.savedbygraceanimalrescue.com

Oscar is feeling pretty spunky this morning :) He ate a big breakfast and got some lovin and treats. He has met other dogs through the fence or kennel but I haven't freely introduced them yet. We wanted to give him some time to settle in first. He isn't the least bit shy here, he's the opposite lol Super friendly and wants to be right by me. He LOVES to chew on his big benebone and likes toys too. He has been a good boy πŸ₯°

Tuffy is officially a resident of New Hampshire πŸ₯°πŸ©΅πŸ˜€ He is living his best life! He has a new doggy sibling and the cutest little girl who already loves him so much! We are so happy for our little guy!

**Available for Adoption** Sadie is a 1.5-2 year old beauty who is looking for her forever home. She is the sweetest, most well behaved girl. Sadie loves to play fetch, especially with a rope toy. She will bring it back to you and drop it at your feet. She is kennel trained and house trained. She is a smaller girl, weighing in at 48 pounds. She gets along with all dogs and loves to be with her humans. She is affectionate and eager to please. Sadie is fully vetted, spayed, on Proheart and will be microchipped before adoption. She would make a great addition to any family. If interested, please complete an adoption application at www.savedbygraceanimalrescue.com

Do you recognize these pups? These two dogs were found off of linwood in Shreveport. The smaller one had a embedded collar. A kind woman stopped and picked them both up and took them to her vet for treatment. She asked me to post, just in case they were missing a while and maybe someone was looking for them.

Sending out a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to Mega's neuter. He was neutered early this morning with no complications. He was sent home this evening so he wasn't left alone over night at the clinic. This boy acts like nothing happened and is just as happy as he always is. We appreciate all of you who support our rescue dogs. We couldn't do what has to be done without your support πŸ’™

Update** Unfortunately this little guy did not make it. We allowed him some relief and helped him cross the rainbow bridge. He only got worse not better 😒 Donations needed** This may be hard to watch, it's pretty sadπŸ’” This little guy is just under 2 pounds and around 8 weeks old. We were asked to help last week so that's what we are trying to do. We have named him Eddie. He has been seen by two vets and both believe he suffered a head or neck injury and this is the result 😭 He has started a steroid along with pain meds and now we give him time and love and hope for the best. Years ago when we first became a official rescue we took in a tiny girl who was abused and suffered a head injury. Her name was Tillie and she was in very similar condition. It was so sad and I didn't have much hope BUT she pulled through and she thrived and she is still living her best life to this day Eddie is in a great foster home where he is getting all the love ❀️ Please help us help him. Check out Mega our precious little blind baby with hydrocephalus. He is thriving! He is doing better than I expected him to. He was weighed at our vet today and has gone from 1.5 pounds to 3 pounds in just 9 days. He loves to eat, play, nap, give kisses , and run freely in the yard. He follows our voices like a pro. He is such a good boy ❀️

Happy Friday morning from Mega the 1.5 pound 5 week old blind baby with hydrocephalus 😍 He woke up happy as usual and I just wanted to show everyone just how full of life he is πŸ₯°

Good morning! I'm sharing a video of a old building we bought an refurbished. Back in its day it was used as a beauty shop until a customer ran into it! So we bought it and my husband worked very hard to bring it back to life πŸ₯° Replaced walls, did electrical work, cool sealed the roof, painted the floor, and repaired a hole in the ceiling. It has come a long way! Back in February I did a birthday fundraiser to help purchase the kennels. I've had a couple people ask how the building was coming along so I thought I'd share. There are still things left to do like putting up skirting and we are going to fence in the area around it. I've also got to get some shelves for storage. I wanted this building because we are foster based and I wanted more space for my foster dogs when they have to be kenneled. Like when I work, it's too hot or too cold, or is just plain nasty weather. This is not a shelter, but a nice area for my personal foster dogs. I'm so thankful for those that donated for the kennels and the family who donated the big AC unit! I appreciate everyone so much!

****UPDATE from our vet **** We were able to reduce the prolapse and neuter dudley on Friday. He did well with the surgery and is doing well at this point. I do have concerns about the health of the rectum because of its appearance before surgery. At the time of surgery sutures from a previous surgery to correct the prolapse were found. Hopefully it will stay reduced but if not, the next step would be a colopexy. We will keep you informed. ******************** Donations neededπŸ’” He is at our vet and they were planning to neuter him and correct the prolapse this afternoon We will update as we know more. Trying to save this guy at animal control. He is not well 😭 He needs immediate vet care.
