That's a wrap on year 3 of Nu House Studios 🖤🐈‍⬛️ thank you to everyone that trusted us with your project, everyone that recommended us to a friend, and those of you that contributed to the Trans Musician Fund.

2023 was a landmark year for us in many ways. We worked on some of our most challenging and rewarding projects so far. We released our second compilation, "Trans Rights Or Else!", this one featuring all unreleased original music, much of it mixed and mastered at Nu House. And we raised over $3000 for the Trans Musician Fund, with four of our releases this year being partially funded by the TMF.

There's so much more coming for 2024. We have several projects lined up to mix & master, so get in contact if you'd like to work with us while there's still openings! And check our 🔗's if you're a trans artist hoping to receive a TMF donation, or would like to donate to the fund.

hi, it's been a little while since we last spoke. it's good to see you.

I have a new album coming out December 21st.

it's called "a trace of itself."

it's an album that I wrote last winter that is about last winter.

I don't use words this time. I didn't speak much then.

my friend Carlos Cotallo Solares (cotallosolares.com) performed violins (a lot of them) on two tracks. Aki McCullough (Nu House Studios) mixed half the album, and mastered the entire album. I couldn't have done it without the two of them.

From July 29th through the 31st, Nu House will have a table for our Trans Musician Fund at New Friends Fest! Come out to Toronto and see a ton of insane bands, grab some merch and support TFM!

We are officially Twitch affiliates!! you can now subscribe for either $5, $10, or $15 and access these cute emotes (ty ). additionally you can now send us bits while we stream. We will be donating 30% of all twitch income to the Trans Musician Fund. Check our bio for our Twitch Channel 💜
Although occasionally we will be streaming our paid projects, we will also be doing a lot of exclusive streams like live sets & working on our personal projects. We want to keep our channel ad-free, so subbing is the best way to support us, the studio, and trans musicians.

Test runs for our first Twitch stream tomorrow from 9-11 PM EST! will be streaming some drum programming. Our biggest priority for Twitch (besides teaching mixing & production) is that we get Raven emotes, so give our page a follow so we can get one step closer (link in bio)

As we currently have a surplus of funds for the TMF, and in light of recent events, we will be donating all shirt/compilation sales this Bandcamp Friday to two separate abortion access funds: Roe Fund of Oklahoma and Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund.
There are 26 Republican-governed states that would likely outlaw abortion if Roe vs Wade is repealed. Many of these states already experience severe restrictions to abortion access, limited locations where abortions are available & hostility to those in need abortions.
Mississippi outlaws abortion after 16 weeks, barely after pregnancy is detectable. There is only one location that performs abortions in the entire state of 3 mil. MRFF uses donations to provide financial support, emergency contraception & s*x ed.
Oklahoma has enacted a 6 week abortion ban, a time frame where it is extremely difficult to detect a pregnancy & get an abortion. Roe Fund of Oklahoma provides direct financial support for abortions, as well as organizing volunteer escorts for clinic visits.
Donating locally is the best way for your money to help those in need, and states where restricted laws have/will come into effect need the most help. However, there are financial and logistical obstacles to abortion in all states regardless of legality.

We'll resume fundraising for the Trans Musician Fund tomorrow. We're finishing our first fully-funded mix/master and hope for it to be released in the coming weeks! We would to extend the offer for another fully-funded song mix/master for this month to a trans artist in need.
You can also request funding of up to 30% for projects bigger than one song! We currently have a surplus of funds so please continue spreading the word ❤
