Liberty Church Celebrate Recovery 7pm tomorrow night has its own Pastor Jeff WatsonJeff Watson teaching a powerful lesson “Self Control” tomorrow night. Self control is one of the most important parts of recovery. What is self-control ? Self control is the active effort we put forth to resist the temptation to go back to the ways of the world around us once we've been shown God's spiritual way of life. It is demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit instead of committing the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-23).
Control your thoughts. Don't let them control you. - 2
Corinthians 10:5
2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” With the Holy Spirit inside of us, we are able to possess self control and demonstrate the fruits of the Spirit. As a result we can live in a way that is honorable to God

Liberty Church Celebrate Recovery tomorrow night is an EXTRA special night one of our own leaders Kathleen Wise will be receiving her 26 Year Medallion and giving her testimony live in person. She will be sharing her testimony at CR,...of how through many struggles in her teens she started experimenting with alcohol....and that led to drugs and than many heartaches. In the end though she will share how she was able to get that first 24 hours and than how those hours turned to months and years and now over 2 decades of continued recovery away from a drink and drug. I personally have seen her grow in her walk with the Lord. She is a light to many in our group and her work outside the group in the recovery field. It’s also chip night so come get your chip... to show the program works. Remember ... this 12 step Christian program is not just for drugs and alcohol. In fact only one and three people that attend to Celebrate Recovery meeting attend because they have a problem with drives or alcohol. This is for any addiction her habit or hang up. We meet every Wednesday night at 7pm in the Student

This Wednesday night Liberty Church Celebrate Recovery is honored to have Ruthie Smith come share her testimony with us all. Ruthie celebrated 24 years of continuous sobriety May 6 2024 and once upon a time she was a broken woman dependent on alcohol and co***ne who was just sick and tired of being sick and tired. She had everything on the outside looking good but her insides were crumbling and I couldn’t keep up the facade she was trying to uphold. Ruthie was mentally, physically and spiritually bankrupt. Alcohol was her master. Failed relationships, part time parenting, a good job that she prioritized not having a clue what shape she was in. She was chasing approval, turning herself inside out for it. Surrendering to herself to her disease, letting the God of her childhood back in who never left her until her self sufficiency took over…She has learned to trust and rely on God, use the steps of recovery and in time with many bumps in the road, She has become the woman God wants her
to be.
Tonight we hope you can join us at Liberty Church Celebrate Recovery at 7pm. teaching Lesson 15 on VICTORY. We are going to answer the question---> How can you have victory over your defects of character? We will be using the acrostic VICTORY...

Tonight 7pm Liberty Church Celebrate Recovery is blessed to have Jessica Youngblood author of Worth The Pain: My Journey From M**h to Ministry come share her testimony. Jessica was born and raised in the small town of Kirby, Arkansas. Her early life was threatened by m**h addiction and su***de. She went from feeling like her life would never turn out any different than generations of family before her, to finding Jesus who radically changed her life! He healed her past, helped her to love her present, and she knows He has a good future for her!
She just moved to Massachusetts in August with her husband, Jon, raising four children: three boys, Ozzie, Ezra & Zeeland, and a sweet princess, Jazzlin-Faith. She loves telling her story to bring hope to the hopeless!
This 12 step Christian program is not just for the alcoholic or addict. This is for anyone that suffers from any addiction, hurt, habit or hang up.

She had already gone through her CR steps with a sponsor in Florida. She will be sharing her testimony tonight she is a grateful addition to our Liberty church Celebrate Recovery family. She is beautiful , kind, sweet, positive and always makes me laugh.
In December of 2021 Renee walked through the doors of her first Celebrate Recovery at Northland Church in Longwood, Florida. Her life would never be the same after going through her women’s step study with her sponsor and womens group. Renee has overcome the inability to set healthy boundaries for herself her eating disorder She has struggled with body dysmorphia and trust in relationships.
The scripture Renee stands on is
Romans 12:2:
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test
and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
You do not want to miss this meeting, especially if you have struggled with any kind of eating disorder or dieting in your past male or female it does not matter. One of the reasons you shouldn’t go back to old people places & relationships that hurt you is because the ( old) environment could bring out the person you used to be! Remember even a fish can be revived, if it’s placed back in water...
Be wise, some environments can revive out of you what you thought was dead.
Has life ever made you wish you could unknow what you know? When we believe the disappointment and trauma of our childhood or past history has the ability to sabotage our destiny we attempt to reject pieces of our story. Its so much easier to pretend we didn’t go through that trauma ot pain. Its easier to numb the pain or to isolate and watch others live happy “normal” lives . Ut look at this …..——> Jesus used what the disciples knew to lead them into what He knew was possible for them. It takes a lot of belief in
Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Sometimes people don't need you to preach to them. Sometimes they just need hug

Liberty Church Celebrate Recovery 7pm tomorrow night is a night you dont want to miss. In fact, we encourage you to bring someone. Sean the Director of Veterans Inc will be in to share his testimony. Here is a little snippet below…
“My testimony covers 24 years but truly goes back to my childhood. I started with 10 years of sobriety, relapsed for 2 weeks and currently am blessed with 13 years of being sober. Just like others in recovery, I have experienced my ups and downs; moving forward and then set backs but the Holy Spirit has been a guiding force in every step of my recovery. I have held Matthew 5, “The Beatitudes,” in a very special place of my heart because it reminds me of the blessings that come from humility, mercy and seeking righteousness. I know if he can do it for me, He can do it for you; that through God’s grace anyone can find redemption and renewal. If He has done it before then He can do it gain. Isaiah 43:18-19: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” The promises of God are sure and true even in the most difficult of circumstances, He is still making a way. I am looking forward to sharing my testimony and pray that in hearing my story that someone will also come to know this same faith that has transformed my life.
One day, you’ll look up, and you’ll no longer have an appetite for what caused you harm. You’ll crave places of rest, honesty, hope, and joy. You’ll realize that God always believed you were worthy of those things in the first place. That’s when the only thing that matters to you is figuring out what else God knows about you🩷

This is a short but powerful prayer from the book of Psalm for anyone that may feel overwhelmed by life...
"Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. ~ Psalm 61:1-2
This is Emma and Gus! Emma needs the prayers of every prayer group and prayer chain.
Approximately 3 weeks ago Emma came down with a serious pneumonia called necrotizing pneumonia. The bacteria eats away at the lung tissue. She became septic and was life flighted to The Brigham in Boston.
She is on the most life support possible. Her lungs are severely damaged by this pneumonia and the doctors are amazed she is alive.
However the doctors are also saying she needs a miracle for these lungs to recover.
We are seeing God working over the past few weeks and are trusting for even more!
Please pray for her lungs to get healthy and for wisdom for the team caring for her.
She has her 4 year old son who needs her and a family who love her..
Thank you!
