What a great summer study guide example! Vocabulary flash cards made from the missed test questions! Performance indicators defined from the missed questions. This is directed and mindful study that will help this student Be The One!
Some of the best are leaving Buena tonight. They will always be DECA and always be a C**t. I know this is what we worked on for 4 years, but I'm going to miss them. I'm so proud of all my students. Goodbye and Good Luck.

Normally, only year 2 seniors get one of these special patches. Janelle is a very special Junior though.
Come see some of our micro businesses at the mall and help support!
We had the best time at ICDC! We all definitely got to experience the difference the past 6 days. HUGE shout-out to Janelle, as she is the first ever finalist at ICDC from Buena DECA!! We also got to see Luna, the only Brazil representative and our former member! She started a chapter after her year here that she spent with us! We're all grateful to have had this opportunity to compete with the best of the best. Disney dump coming soon!!

Can I get your help tricking some students?
I try to "trick" students into learning by providing opportunities that seem like fun but also help open their eyes to what is possible when the leave school. This generally involves travel to competitions and college tours. If you use the Arizona Tax Credit to make a contribution to Buena DECA, you get all the money back and it is a net $0 cost for you to help. YOU GET ALL THE MONEY BACK FROM THE GOVERNMENT!
*You don’t have to itemize.
*You don’t have to be a parent to make a contribution - just an Arizona Taxpayer.
*It is a net $0 cost to you.
*You get 100% of your contribution back if you’re an Arizona taxpayer.
*You can either let the State have it, or you can give it to DECA. Either way, it’s tax dollars you’re contributing, and you don’t get to keep it anyway.
*You can still make a 2023 contribution and use it to get a bigger refund on your taxes now.
*If you’re still unsure, you can put the amount in while you’re filling your taxes, and then make the contribution after you see your refund got bigger.
*The amounts are $200 for single tax filers and $400 for joint tax filers.
The catch is that you have to make the contribution yourself, and then wait to get it back from the State. I think that is where people get stuck. They view it as a donation that they won’t get back. They are always skeptical when they have to come out of pocket to support something like DECA. That is why I like to mention they can do it while they are filling out their taxes to see the real-time increase in a refund or reduction of the amount owed.
Anyway, here is the link. Online is the easiest way to make a tax credit contribution.
