About Us

This is Our Story

Welcome to Kobo Chill, your go-to shop for authentic and unique African jackets, coats, and accessories. We do the hard work of sewing and designing each piece, so you can receive a winter jacket that keeps your warm in the harshest of winters- not to mention one that makes you stand out from the rest.

Our story began when my wife was getting ready to return to the United States from Africa. I had her sew me a jacket that symbolizes our loving union- a merging of different cultures. The jacket she handmade was loved by so many that we decided to turn it into a business. But first, we had to improve upon the quality and design.

Two years of trial-and-error later, we finally created the jacket of our dreams- a jacket that could be reproduced without sacrificing on quality or the handmade aspect. Thus, Kobo Chill was officially born.

Our pieces are thoughtfully created in Ivory Coast, West Africa. Kobo Chill promotes sharp values such as elegance, nobility, and distinction (especially of women). The originality of our clothing lays bare the richness of the African continent and the plurality of its fashions.

For Kobo Chill, we feel that the personality, traditions, culture, and modernism of a person can be well-expressed in clothing that emits elegance. Winter coats and jackets are usually boring and dark-colored. We’ve had enough of drab winters; there’s no need to reach for boring when you want to stand out.

A statement coat with a chic cut (like our African print pieces) adds a splash of color and personality to your winter-wear. In our designs, you’ll turn heads no matter where you go. You can rely on our coats to be well-made and warm enough to last you for many winters to come.
