Malnourished children were treated at a hospital there, and every time I went to visit, I saw those children rehabilitating from the devastating nutritional status that they had experienced when they were admitted. That was a very important point that helped me decide that I wanted to study nutrition and dedicate myself to clinical nutrition and nutrition support.

Since that time, I have advocated and fought against disease-related malnutrition, creating awareness amongst the interdisciplinary team on the importance of fighting against it and respecting the human right to nutritional care. ASPEN has played a very important role and has been an inspiration on that matter. Thank you to ASPEN for letting me be a part of such a wonderful organization!”
