Training Days
Continuing education and helping our stylists grow is one of our main objectives🫶🏼 This last week led a class teaching several techniques for hair extensions including bonded K-tip and the popular beaded weft method. led a cutting class on classic bobs focused on ergonomics, body positioning and texturizing techniques post yoga class to keep our mind/body connected and happy. We had so much fun as we are gearing up to head to Nashville next month for Redken Symposium where we will keep adding to the well of knowledge ♥️

This month we will be celebrating our team starting with Normae who’s finishing up her last week before taking off for maternity leave ♥️ we have been fortunate to watch her journey to becoming an amazing stylist and mother.

What inspired you to choose this career? :
During COVID, I could see how important the beauty industry became, people didn’t feel themselves when salons shut down. I really saw how important stylists are to making someone feel great in their own skin! I wanted to be a part of an industry that builds confidence in people and makes them feel great as soon as they leave an appointment. It’s so important to have a healthy dose of confidence!

Tell us about you training and/or work experience :

I’m a graduate of Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute. However, I started in the industry at 15 when I worked as a Junior in a Salon in Greater London, I eventually worked at salon in Soho when I was 19. I have always loved being around creative people, it makes me feel at home!

Special hobbies or interests :
I love cooking and baking. I also love making reels on Instagram and am a little bit of a TV addict.

What has been inspiring you lately? Or what are you passionate about right now? :
Social Media has really been a source of inspiration recently. As a new mum, I’m between taking care of my little one, keeping up with trends and new methods of color application has kept me interested and motivated recently! I love the low maintenance looks and think they’re such a fun way to keep your look interesting without stressing about having to miss an appointment! Sometimes a toner is all you need to keep your color fresh, otherwise keep your hair happy and healthy with 6-12 weeks in between your lightening appts!

Random fun fact about you :
I have a BA in Theater and actually wanted to be an actress when I first moved to the US!

We often get asked where our salon name comes from. The crossing of arrows is a symbol of friendship and this is the heart of what we hope to embody in the salon. We went in fully knowing it could be challenging and we did it anyway. We have learned so much along the way and though it hasn’t been without challenges, we are so happy to be doing it together 🫶🏼 This is a throw back to when the three of us connected and worked together way back when!
