Happy 4th! I’m sure many are unaware, animals get severely freightened / disorientated by all of the fireworks and mini explosions that happen during this wonderful celebration. In many of these animals/pets, it causes them to activate their “flight” instinct. Many will panic and cause unnecessary harm to themselves and sometimes, the property that surrounds them.

Let’s make today a fun and memorable day for everyone as well as our many loving and trusting pets.

Friends: As our warm weather approaches & for those of us who have pools, please KNOW these 4 things: 1) Install a perimeter gate/fence around your pool. 2) LEARN CPR! 3) if your child is missing around the house, check your pool FIRST! 4) Always appoint a "water-watcher" in the yard while children are at play. ALWAYS! Our prayers go to the Porter Ranch family who's twin boys were involved in a tragic accident yesterday. We are PRAYING! (Please do NOT post your "judgements" / "opinions" regarding the matter here). PRAY, please. As a "twin," myself....I can't even imagine....... (the picture is of our puppies- not related to story. Just as an accent of love).

Proud Mom & Dad moment (and we are Blessed we have so many from each of our children)! Brooklyn Lyons has dedicated her professional life as a Nurse. From an experience she had while on her off-time, playing on a public PickleBall court. She performed CPR and saved a man’s life! From the experience Brooklyn realized that had there been an AED machine, saving the man’s life would have assuredly been simpler with a better guarantee.

Brooklyn made it her mission to research, present, defend, present and implement Simi Valleys FIRST (more to come) public AED machine on one of the local courts.

Many TALK about what they would like to do. Brooklyn was a POWERHOUSE and created amazing relationships and partnerships that made her “idea” become realized!

At the same time, Brooklyn (along with the great guys from VCFD and some of her students - yes, she is a professor too!) had a CPR clinic today as well.

It was so beautiful to see Brooklyns sisters, husband & brother in law there in support as well!!

Wow!!!!

Im thinking she’s gonna kill me for this post, but hoping she will provide CPR after!
