If you're in the Upstate of South Carolina, you may be familiar with the work of Dick Mitchell. He's a former architect by trade, turned watercolor artist and does beautiful work - mainly of famous landmarks downtown GVL.

David from and I had the pleasure of photographing him with Amanda Bennett of . Dick and his work will be featured in the Feb. issue of 🖼️

He and Amanda have been working together for almost 30 years and have a sweet friendship. ♥️

He also has a really cool story about his life as an architect. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting him, have him tell you about the letter that Henry Kissinger sent to him while he was in school. ♥️

Wrapped up another successful video interview shoot earlier this week with highlighting one of beautiful renovation projects. 😍

I learned two things:
1 - I want a bigger kitchen
and 2 - I look pretty short next to these guys! 🤣

Had so much fun talking alllll about graphic design this morning at Career Day!

What is a Design Day?

• A dedicated day to your business so that we can get your design tasks crossed off your to-do list!

• No project would be too big or small and it would be a very seamless process. We would have a plan in place before our design day so that I would know ahead of time EXACTLY what I would be working on to best utilize our time together.

Examples of what we could accomplish in a day together:
• social media batch (post ready)
• digital ad design(s)
• website graphics
• stationery tweaks
• newsletter template
• misc. design collateral
• PDF layouts

Available in one, two and four half-day increments. If you book four days up front, you will get a little bonus (Hint: the more you book the more you SAVE). ☺️

Here is our family bucket list for December!

What are your favorite holiday traditions? 🎅🎄

Every year, we kick off our fun old-fashioned Theisen family Christmas by heading out of the country to the mountains of North Carolina in our minivan to embrace the frosty majesty of the winter landscape and select the most important of Christmas symbols - our Christmas tree. 🎄😂

Last year - our favorite tree farm we normally go to ran out of trees (not surprising=Covid), so we ended up getting our tree in a grocery store parking lot and letting the kids pick it out. I am telling you, my Type A self had a hard time letting go. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This year - we headed out earlier than normal (before Thanksgiving) and cut down the PERFECT tree at Grandy Mountain Christmas Tree Farm. I am telling you, this is the most gorgeous tree we have ever cut down. 🙌🏻 Especially in comparison to our 2020 tree, which looks like the tree from The Grinch movie. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Anyway, I saw this picture the other day on my phone and I had to laugh. What a great way to showcase 2020 vs. 2021. 💗

December is here and with that comes ALLLLL the things - Advent calendars, decorating 🎄, gift buying 🎁, holiday parties🥂, making cookies and gingerbread houses, drinking hot cocoa, Christmas lights, etc. This month really is the most magical time of the year. It can also be the craziest time of the year (especially for us parents). We also celebrate a birthday in December which adds to the busyness (the baby in the stocking is my middle child, almost 9 years ago).

As we are in the season of Christmas, let us remember the real reason for the season. It’s a time of giving, making memories with loved ones and reflecting back on moments from this past year. My wish (myself included) is that you take time to slow down and enjoy all that this month and the Christmas season has to offer. Wishing you joy, comfort and peace this season and always.
